Even though I am a senior, I still have a lot of love, loyalty, and enthusiasm left in me. I am quiet and curious, and I love to explore and take in all the smells around me. I am a friendly dog who is always eager to greet my human friends with wags and kisses. I am fine with other dogs. I am a bit older and need a gentle touch, so I would be best suited for a quiet home without young children. Story
I had soooo many bumps all over my body when I was rescued. Two huge tumors, one was just fatty but the other one was a mammary tumor. All of this was addressed while I was being spayed and getting my dental so I've got lots of stitches right now. Everyone at the vet said I was such a trooper to have so much surgery and I'm healing really well. I be available for adoption by Feb 1, 2025. I'm a sweet brave girl (says my foster mom) and I like all my housemates. I do go outside to potty, but not all the time. I was VERY neglected before rescue so I'm wanting a family that will take good care of me and love me lots!

When I first came to Act2Pups back in October of 24 I was pretty shy. Today I enjoy other pups at rescue. My shyness was due to spending a lot of time in boarding before I came to rescue. I was a little reactive to getting picked up but my groomer didn't have any issues, as you see in the photo. I enjoy being petted and I'll sit on your lap so I've got a cuddle gene in me! Patience will be the key word when interacting with me, and it will be well worth it because I'm a loyal little fellow. I'm almost 9 years old so I've got a long future ahead. I'm ready, won't you give me a chance.

Story
Pickles was turned into the shelter along with 8 others - including many of his littermates. They were not well socialized with humans but opened up a little every day and are doing well with humans and other dogs in the home. Pickles has turned out to be the most adventurous, the first to try something new. His interaction with his foster mom is getting better every day. He is doing well with house traing and crate training and bravely tackling leash walking. Pickles is not suitable with small children as he is still building confidense and learning to be brave.
