Story
Jax is 4 years old his birthday is January 29th. We bought him from a friend breeder who breeds Maltese and Shi thus. He is a loyal dog, loves to lay by your feet, to lick your nose, to cuddle in a blanket. We are giving him up because I am currently in nursing school and my kids are currently involved in so many school activities it’s so difficult to give him the attention he deserves. We are heartbroken to have to come to this decision, but he is home alone most times. He does sleep in his crate. He knows commands such as sit, jump, give me paw, and stay when offered a treat. He loves to take out all his toys from his crate, he loves soft, plush, toys like a lamb or teddy. He knows when u say go get it, to run after his toy. He is pretty good at waiting until taken out to relieve himself. In a new location, as all dogs will mark his territory. I get him groomed about every 2- 3 months at PetSmart, he is only sensitive around his eyes but no other complaints.

Story
Barbara is a 14-year-old Maltese who originally belonged to my mother. Unfortunately, my mother is now seriously ill and can no longer care for her, and I stepped in to help. As Barbara has continued to age, her needs have increased beyond what I’m able to manage in my current situation. She is a sweet, gentle senior who has been deeply loved her whole life. At this stage, she is experiencing age-related incontinence and anxiety/whining, which require a calm environment, patience, and experience with senior dogs. I’m looking for a compassionate, senior-friendly home ideally someone experienced with elderly dogs, incontinence, and end-of-life care. A quieter home with someone who is present more often would be best for her comfort and well-being.

Levi is a special needs boy with an ABSOLUTE HEART OF GOLD, FULL OF LOVE AND WANTS TO BE WITH YOU ALL THE TIME! He has a great personality, strives hard to communicate, and would be a great Emotional Support Dog for someone who lives alone and does not get much company. He loves to play with his 'babies' and is a talker. We believe he shows a few mild signs of possible inbreeding (which would explain him being abandoned at the shelter by a breeder!) Levi does very well for himself, but does have a weak back leg that prevents him from jumping on your lap or furniture. It is not a health issue and does not cause any pain. He is not socialized with people and needs slow introduction. He does not like change or strangers so routine is a must! He absolutely loves his person and wants to be with them all the time… he will whine and lay faithfully by the door if he can’t see you! So he would do best with someone who is retired or works from home. He is a super loving boy and deserves to be spoiled, adored, and put first. Because he is special needs, his mind works just a little bit slower before he grasps a new concept or command but he is eager to please and trainable. He has the mentality of an innocent, unaware 2-3 year old child so he needs to be watched over attentively and protected. He also has a very thick undercoat and will require professional grooming services every 1-2 months (depending on the time of year). If you can not commit to giving him a FOREVER, EXCEPTIONALLY WONDERFUL HOME, please do not inquire! He is a 2.5 year old Bichon Frise, approximately 17 pounds, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Sorry, no small children Adoption fee is $400 Must live in Brevard County or within a 45 minute drive Home checks are required
