Story
Barbara is a 14-year-old Maltese who originally belonged to my mother. Unfortunately, my mother is now seriously ill and can no longer care for her, and I stepped in to help. As Barbara has continued to age, her needs have increased beyond what I’m able to manage in my current situation. She is a sweet, gentle senior who has been deeply loved her whole life. At this stage, she is experiencing age-related incontinence and anxiety/whining, which require a calm environment, patience, and experience with senior dogs. I’m looking for a compassionate, senior-friendly home ideally someone experienced with elderly dogs, incontinence, and end-of-life care. A quieter home with someone who is present more often would be best for her comfort and well-being.

Though Sasha is blind and hard of hearing, she navigates the world with grace, trust, and a heart overflowing with love. Sasha is an extremely sweet, gentle lap dog who finds her greatest comfort cuddled close to her person. She adores being held, resting quietly in a warm lap, and soaking up all the affection she can get. Her calm, loving presence brings a sense of peace and tenderness to everyone she meets. This senior girl is looking for a quiet, compassionate home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by kindness and care. In return, Sasha offers unwavering devotion, soft snuggles, and a beautiful reminder of how powerful love can be. If you’re ready to open your heart to a truly special senior who just wants to be cherished, Sasha will reward you with endless love and gentle companionship. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida.
