Story
Mr. Little Potato Head! What a great name. To our best knowledge, probably a maltese poodle mix, he's approximately 3 years old and weights about 14 pounds. He is great with people and children. He walks well on a leash but does like to bark at other dogs, but will settle when you correct him. He loves to eat and is very food/treat motivated. He must have had a family before as he settled in with his foster very easily. He does well in car rides and loves his daily walks. Are you ready to incorporate him into your family!? SF Bay Area Adoptions only, please email if interested.

Story
No. Dot Com, the peewee Maltese Yorkie mix currently setting the Muttville world afire with dainty adorability, did not get an ear lift. Those highflying beacons of lace-trimmed glamour are natural. Or supernatural. Real for sure. So is her gentility and quiet curiosity. Firm on her feet and friendly to new people, dogs and experiences, she takes it all in with magnanimity - and the intention of using it in poetry she composes whilst sunbathing. She may be a scant 7 lbs, but girl can do the stairs! Nothing left to do but adopt her this instant. Here's some notes from her foster: Dottie (DotCom) is just waiting to become your teeny, bubbly, new best friend! Dot’s favorite things are attention, food and especially people who give her attention and food! This friendly girl is great at reading the room— if you’re up and doing stuff around the house, she’ll be chasing you, running around and paying attention to what you’re doing. If you’re chilling out, watching tv, doing some work… she’ll calmly find a comfy spot near by to take a nap, or sneak in some cuddles. Dottie sleeps through the night, likes other dogs, enjoys car rides, loves being outside going on walks or being carried in a sling. I believe Dottie was trained to use a pee pad as I’ve seen her use the one intended for one of my own dogs multiple times, but I keep her on a schedule and still take her out every few hours. Dot is tiny in size, but has a huge personality- silly, sassy, sweet..mixed with perfect amount of crazy bedhead, you just can’t help falling in love with her! Dottie is going to bring so much love and laughter into your home. I can’t wait until she find the perfect forever family she deserves!

Story
Meet Turnpike! Turnpike is a sweet-as-sugar senior who’s ready to steal your heart! This lovable boy has a gentle soul and a wagging tail that never stops. Whether it’s a quiet cuddle on the couch or a sunny stroll in the park, Turnpike is always by your side, bringing endless joy. Turnpike gets along with everyone he meets and has a soft spot for treats and cozy blankets. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Turnpike is ready to find his forever home. Here's some notes from his foster: Turnpike: A Sweet and Mellow Addition to a Family with Pets Turnpike is a charming, hairless little guy with an irresistible, funny, sweet personality! In just a few days, I fell in love with him, and he won over everyone he met with his gentle and easygoing nature. He's a quiet, independent dog who's happy to go with the flow. Turnpike is 100% potty trained and also pee pad trained. He's incredibly earnest about holding it until he can go outside, which is especially important considering how much water he drinks. He'd thrive in a home with easy access to a patio or yard for frequent potty breaks so he doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. When he needs to go, you will learn his quiet little gestures to let you know. Although one of Turnpike’s biggest charms is his independent nature happy to explore the smells of his environment by himself, he truly blossoms in a lively home with other dogs and plenty of human activity. His walks are much more spirited when he's in a social environment, and he loves greeting people and other animals with gentle nose bumps. He's incredibly gentle and not at all aggressive, suggesting he would do well in a home with other small pets (cats, squirrels, hamsters, etc.). Turnpike is a very quiet dog – I haven't even heard him bark! He's content to find his bed and settle in for a nap when left alone, showing no signs of issues being left alone. Being blind, Turnpike explores his surroundings by gently bumping into things. He's more confident in daylight and a little more cautious at night. I've found that walking close to him and shuffling my feet helps him navigate, and a gentle sniff of my leg or shoes reassures him I’m right here when he seems unsure. He quickly learned where the door to the house is and is always happiest when returning to the warm inside. Turnpike sleeps soundly through the night, but having a pee pad nearby would be helpful for any nighttime potty needs. While he enjoys snuggling on the bed, it's important to be cautious due to his blindness and ensure he can't fall. He loves nose, ear, belly, and chest rubs to help him drift off to sleep. He might be a little restless or grumble the first few nights in a new home as he adjusts. Turnpike is a truly special dog who deserves a loving and understanding home. He's such a good boy who brought so much joy to me! If you're looking for a gentle, low-key companion who’s house-trained, the quiet type, and adaptable, Turnpike is perfect!

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.     Adoption Fee: $800   Amora is an 11 month old Maltese x Yorkie mix who can’t wait to bring oodles of love to her lucky forever family! Amora was rescued from the shelter with a bunch of her pals when the shelter was running out of space. She needed a bath and a trim, so we whisked her to the salon and let one of our amazing volunteer groomers work their magic! When we saw Amora a few hours later we could hardly believe it was the same girl! Amora weighs 8 pounds and has a light shedding coat so she won’t be an option for those with allergies but she is ready to shower you in endless love!    Amora is absolutely bursting with personality and everyone who meets her will agree! Amora loves being cuddled and has a knack for finding any open lap in the room so she can get her snuggles. She loves to dance on her hind legs and bounces around to show off her moves. Amora takes on every day with a sunny outlook and a desire to make the most of her waking hours. She loves playing with her toys and picked up fetch instantly. She adores her backyard and will roll around and romp in the grass for hours if you let her. She loves following her humans around the house and keeping herself abreast with the daily household agenda. She runs a tight (but adorable) ship as she makes sure you’re bringing home the bacon! Amora is the perfect blend of snuggly and playful like any good puppy. She’s down for whatever you want to do, whether that’s a long hike, a camping trip under the stars, or a day on the couch watching romcoms! Amora would be a fabulous addition for just about any home, as long as you are ready to shower her in love and affection.  Amora wakes up around 6:30 AM when her foster humans get their day started. She goes outside for a potty break and then lounges around while the humans get their days started. She gets breakfast and then heads out on her morning stroll. During the day, Amora hangs out on her bed, plays with her toys, or keeps her foster mom company as she works at her desk. She takes a nap while her foster mom leaves for some errands and then plays in the afternoon before she gets another walk. She has dinner around 6 PM and then hangs out with the rest of her family for the remainder of the evening until she goes to bed around 9 PM. Amora has previously lived with other dogs and gets along well with them. She lives in a household filled with humans of all ages and adores them all. Interested homes should be prepared to continue the training and socialization her foster home has started. Amora is super smart and has already picked up several tricks. What a smart girl! Amora walks well on the leash. She is house trained and crate trained. She is just so loving and she can’t wait to charm you instantly! Come fall in love with Amora today!      Amora is an option for homes who have prior dog owning experience. Kids should be over the age of 5.January 29, 2025, 4:26 pm

Elmo was rescued with several of his muppet pals when they needed a place to crash. We knew we could find them perfect forever homes so we scooped them up and brought them to our DPS studio! Elmo weighs 11 pounds and is just as adorable as can be. He has a non-shedding coat and is an option for homes with allergies or who just want less hair around the house. Come and meet your new best pal, Elmo, today!     Elmo is a vibrant, energetic, fun loving adorable pup who is just the best resident of Sesame Street ever. Elmo adores his humans and follows his foster mom around like a cute little shadow. Elmo loves playing with his toys, chasing butterflies across the yard, and generally soaking up life. He loves cuddling and is always happy to park himself in your lap for snuggles and kisses. He is super sweet and affectionate and has a permanent smile on his face. Elmo is the perfect blend of playful and laid back. He’s just happy to do whatever you want to do. Elmo would thrive in a home ready to shower him in love and affection. He can also stand on his hind legs and bust a move, so get your disco ball ready! Elmo is just the sweetest pup in the entire world and we know he will be an amazing companion to anyone (but Rocko).  Elmo starts each morning with snuggles and kisses at 7 AM. He goes outside to potty and then enjoys breakfast before playing with his human foster siblings. During the day, Elmo alternates between hanging out in the house, romping around the backyard, and napping in the sunshine. Once everyone comes home from work and school, Elmo shows off his zoomies and gets tons of belly rubs and kisses. He eats dinner when his foster humans do and then spends the rest of his evening cuddling until he goes into his crate for the night Elmo currently lives with a resident dog and they get along well. He adores all humans from the young to the young at heart. He loves being chased around and is amazing at being “it” during tag. Elmo walks well on the leash and loves going on walks. He is 80% house trained. Elmo is just a wonderful little pup who can’t wait to meet you!      Elmo is an option for homes who have previously owned a dog.
