Story
Meet Turnpike! Turnpike is a sweet-as-sugar senior who’s ready to steal your heart! This lovable boy has a gentle soul and a wagging tail that never stops. Whether it’s a quiet cuddle on the couch or a sunny stroll in the park, Turnpike is always by your side, bringing endless joy. Turnpike gets along with everyone he meets and has a soft spot for treats and cozy blankets. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Turnpike is ready to find his forever home. Here's some notes from his foster: Turnpike: A Sweet and Mellow Addition to a Family with Pets Turnpike is a charming, hairless little guy with an irresistible, funny, sweet personality! In just a few days, I fell in love with him, and he won over everyone he met with his gentle and easygoing nature. He's a quiet, independent dog who's happy to go with the flow. Turnpike is 100% potty trained and also pee pad trained. He's incredibly earnest about holding it until he can go outside, which is especially important considering how much water he drinks. He'd thrive in a home with easy access to a patio or yard for frequent potty breaks so he doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. When he needs to go, you will learn his quiet little gestures to let you know. Although one of Turnpike’s biggest charms is his independent nature happy to explore the smells of his environment by himself, he truly blossoms in a lively home with other dogs and plenty of human activity. His walks are much more spirited when he's in a social environment, and he loves greeting people and other animals with gentle nose bumps. He's incredibly gentle and not at all aggressive, suggesting he would do well in a home with other small pets (cats, squirrels, hamsters, etc.). Turnpike is a very quiet dog – I haven't even heard him bark! He's content to find his bed and settle in for a nap when left alone, showing no signs of issues being left alone. Being blind, Turnpike explores his surroundings by gently bumping into things. He's more confident in daylight and a little more cautious at night. I've found that walking close to him and shuffling my feet helps him navigate, and a gentle sniff of my leg or shoes reassures him I’m right here when he seems unsure. He quickly learned where the door to the house is and is always happiest when returning to the warm inside. Turnpike sleeps soundly through the night, but having a pee pad nearby would be helpful for any nighttime potty needs. While he enjoys snuggling on the bed, it's important to be cautious due to his blindness and ensure he can't fall. He loves nose, ear, belly, and chest rubs to help him drift off to sleep. He might be a little restless or grumble the first few nights in a new home as he adjusts. Turnpike is a truly special dog who deserves a loving and understanding home. He's such a good boy who brought so much joy to me! If you're looking for a gentle, low-key companion who’s house-trained, the quiet type, and adaptable, Turnpike is perfect!

Story
Mr. Little Potato Head! What a great name. To our best knowledge, probably a maltese poodle mix, he's approximately 3 years old and weights about 14 pounds. He is great with people and children. He walks well on a leash but does like to bark at other dogs, but will settle when you correct him. He loves to eat and is very food/treat motivated. He must have had a family before as he settled in with his foster very easily. He does well in car rides and loves his daily walks. Are you ready to incorporate him into your family!? SF Bay Area Adoptions only, please email if interested.

Story
Meet Melvin, the most handsome five-month-old white, non-shedding pup around! This sweet boy came to us from a high-intake shelter, where he and nine other dogs were sadly never reclaimed. Though he can be a little shy at first, Melvin is incredibly cuddly and affectionate—he just needs a patient family to show him love and help him gain confidence. Melvin will require regular grooming and brushing, as he has hair rather than fur. He arrived with another puppy who may be a sibling or close relative, and he’s still learning the ropes of house training. Like many young dogs, he can be a bit needy, but with consistency and structure, he’ll thrive. Melvin would do well in a home with a backyard and a family that has the time and resources to dedicate to his training and socialization. He’d love to have another dog to follow and learn from but could also thrive as an only dog as long as he has plenty of canine friends. Currently weighing around 8 pounds, he is expected to grow to about 20 pounds full-grown. Melvin is safe now, but he’s ready to find his forever family—one that will commit to him for life and help him become the best dog he can be. Could that be you?
