Story
Dominic is the sweetest little guy you will ever meet. He's 8 lbs of pure love. After being found as a stray and being shaved, neutered, lots of teeth removed, top of head stitched up and lots of eye drops (forever), he still loves to go for walks, get hugged and kissed, hang out with his fosters other dogs, sit on your lap (all the time). He is super easy to bathe, quiet, uses the dog door 99% of the time, and sleeps through the night on top of the bed. 13-year-old Dominic has some hearing loss and will grab at food in your hand but doesn't bite. He likes tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden and shares his food with the other dogs. He will need eye medicine for tear production the rest of his life and is a good boy when putting the drops in. Dominic is good with other dogs and is an easygoing boy. His favorite forever home will be where he has a lap to sit on and someone home with him for much of the day.

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, November 16th from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $700   Holiday is a 1 year old Maltese x Poodle mix who can’t wait to make the season bright with her forever family! Holiday was rescued from the shelter, where she landed heavily pregnant and looking for someone to help her out. We scooped her up and a few days later she had a litter of adorable puppies! She was an amazing Mama and now that her puppies are ready for homes of their own, she’s excited to start her next adventure with you! Holiday weighs around 15 pounds and is the most perfect petite little lady. She has a lightly shedding coat and an adorable little snaggletooth that gives her a unique look. She turns heads wherever she goes! If you’re ready to kickstart the holidays a bit early, come out and meet Holiday today!       Holiday is a cuddly, velcro dog who wants to be with her people every minute of the day. She adores her chosen humans and wants to snuggle every minute of the day with you. Holiday is the kind of dog where once you win her heart, she is yours forever. Holiday is a great mix of playful and laid back energy. She likes to play and show off her zoomies, but is also happy to curl up and snooze an afternoon away as her foster mom works at her desk.  Holiday’s dream home is somewhere she can find her throne on a pile of blankets and pillows. She would love to be a WFH companion as she just wants to be near her people as often as she can. She would love to join a home with a resident dog or cat so she has a constant buddy to play with and follow around. Holiday is super funny as well, gathering her toys and stashing them in her foster mom’s office from the other dogs. She loves her tiny tennis balls and is happy to play fetch for as long as you throw the ball. With her bright eyes and her adorable little snaggletooth, Holiday turns heads wherever she goes. Holiday is so excited to haul out the holly and make the season bright!  Holiday wakes up in her foster mom’s bed around 7:30 AM and curls up for some morning snuggles until she’s ready to start her day. She eats breakfast around 8 AM, a mixture of wet food and kibble. She keeps her foster mom company as she works from home, curling up on a soft bed or the couch as she snoozes the hours away. She gets a snack around lunchtime followed by some playtime with her puppies. She takes another long nap until she’s ready for her dinner, which is served at 6 PM. In the evening, Holiday hops up on the couch and rolls over for kisses and snuggles. She’s always happy to binge watch some TV, as long as she’s by your side! Holiday goes out for one more potty around 11 PM and then follows her foster mom up to bed!  Holiday has always lived with dogs of varying sizes and will be an amazing addition to any home, whether or not there are resident dogs. She gets along fabulously with the four resident cats. Holiday is cautious but curious when she meets new humans, but is quickly won over with tasty snacks. Holiday is working on her leash walking and potty training skills. If you’re ready for a new best friend, come and meet our Holiday!       Holiday is an option for homes with prior dog experience, even if less recent. Kids should be over the age of 7.November 15, 2024, 5:23 pm

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $800   Poe is a 9 month old Maltese x Norfolk Terrier mix looking across the galaxies for his forever home! Poe was rescued from the shelter where he was surrendered due to a family disagreement on getting a new puppy. Unfortunately, when Mom says no, Dad takes the puppy to the pound. We agreed to take this handsome boy into our care and loaded him into our spaceship for a journey to the stars! Poe is an adorable little pipsqueak who will make your world complete. With his gorgeous coat and his cute smirk, he brings laughter and antics to every room he enters. Come on down and meet positively perfect Poe before he heads off for another galaxy far far away!       Poe is an adorably sweet, playful, and energetic puppy looking to show you the stars! He made himself right at home with his foster people, immediately showing off his love of toys and snuggles. He loves to trot after his people, keeping you in his sights as he lounges or chews on his squeaky toys. Poe knows just how adorable he is and he uses it to his advantage when he is ready for his next treat or play session. With one flutter of his long eyelashes and a tilt of his head, he will have you melting like putty into his paws. Poe is the perfect blend of playful and laid back. When the younger human wants to play fetch, he’s ready with a wagging tail, but when his foster mom wants to sit quietly, he’s ready to curl up next to her for a long nap. He loves to greet his foster human’s friends when they come over after a day of school, and he’s always happy to meet new people who want to coo all over him as they pet his soft hair. Poe would be a fabulous companion for a trip to the coffee shop, holiday shopping, or just a romp around the neighborhood. He is up for anything as long as he can do it by your side!  Poe wakes up at 7 AM with a short walk after a big stretch in his crate. He goes into the yard for some sniffs upon returning home before he comes inside for breakfast and playtime. During the workday, Poe hangs out in his crate or pen as he naps and plays with his toys. When his foster mom works from home, he lounges around the house or zooms around the yard. In the afternoon, he gets another walk followed by more cuddles. Once everyone comes home, he eats his dinner followed by a little treat. He shows off his playfulness to his people as they unwind from the day, zooming around the house with his toys. Once he tires himself out, he flops down on the closest lap for some snuggles and scratches. He goes out for one last potty and then heads into his crate around 10 PM. Poe gets along fabulously with dogs of all ages and sizes. He would fit in well to a home with a resident dog but could also be a solo pup! He adores his 10 year old human foster brother. He walks well on a leash but would benefit from additional training and socialization. Poe is house trained and crate trained. Poe is so ready to start his next galactic adventure, so strap in and get ready for adventure!      Poe is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.November 15, 2024, 5:23 pm

Say hello to Yoyo, a gentle little dog with a lovable personality that’s sure to steal your heart in no time! Yoyo absolutely loves to be held, there's something about being close to his favorite people that makes him feel safe and secure and he’ll happily snuggle up in your arms, soaking up all the love and attention you can give. True to his name, Yoyo might take a step back initially, but once he trusts you, he’s all in — he’ll be right by your side, ready to shower you with love and companionship. Friendly and social, Yoyo enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely thrive with a calm sibling to share his days. Right now, Yoyo’s coat needs some TLC to get back to its full glory but with a bit of patience, regular grooming, and some gentle care, he’ll transform back into the stunning, fluffy dog he’s meant to be. His ideal home would be one where his grooming needs are met with kindness and consistency, so he can shine with confidence. If you’re ready to give Yoyo the TLC he deserves, he’ll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty, snuggles, and companionship that’s truly priceless.

If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3.
