Story
Mary Ann is a sweet and sensitive girl who is looking for a loving home where she can continue to grow and gain confidence at her own pace. She is both affection motivated and food motivated, making her a great candidate for positive, reward-based training and gentle bonding with her people. She has a medium energy level and enjoys a nice balance of playtime and relaxation. Mary Ann can be left alone for up to 4–6 hours, making her a good fit for a home with a consistent routine. She can be a bit vocal and is shy at first, needing patience and time to adjust to new surroundings—but once she feels safe, her gentle and loving personality truly shines. Mary Ann is happiest with another dog in the home, as canine companionship helps her feel more secure and confident. She would do best in a home with dog-savvy children ages 13 and up who understand how to give her space as she settles in. With patience, love, and positive reinforcement, Mary Ann will become a loyal and rewarding companion.

Story
Bunny is a darling Maltese who has truly been through it, but you’d never know it from her gentle spirit and sweet disposition. This little angel came to us with an old leg injury that had healed incorrectly and made walking painful. After her amputation, Hazel has been so much happier — she moves with ease and confidence now, proving once again that tripods thrive! Bunny is also missing one eye, but trust us… none of this slows her down one bit. She gets around beautifully, enjoys soft naps in cozy beds, and loves nothing more than being close to her person. She’s quiet, affectionate, and an absolutely delightful companion. If you’re looking for a loving little shadow to bring warmth and sweetness into your home, Bunny is your girl. 🫶 Apply to meet her and let this brave, beautiful Maltese melt your heart.

Story
Fourteen small dogs are beginning fresh chapters after being rescued together from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Stockton, where more than 30 dogs were living in severe neglect and unsanitary conditions. These precious pups — a mix of Maltese mixes, Chihuahua mixes, and Terrier mixes — have endured far more than any dog ever should. Many arrived with severe matting and painful urine burns, and we’re getting them all to the groomer to finally feel clean, comfortable, and cared for. Beneath it all, they are truly gorgeous little souls. Understandably, this transition is overwhelming for them. They’re a bit scared and unsure right now — but even through the fear, their sweetness and gentle nature shine through. They lean in for affection, accept love, and remind us just how resilient dogs can be. These babies will need patient, compassionate homes where they can decompress, feel safe, and learn that the world can be kind. In return, they’ll offer deep gratitude, quiet companionship, and the kind of love that only a survivor can give. If you’re looking to make a life-changing difference — for them and for you — one of these little ones may be waiting just for you.

Good with cats,
Story
Tiana is one of fourteen dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in California’s Central Valley. When she arrived, she was severely matted and had clearly gone far too long without proper care. Despite this, Tiana’s spirit is soft, sweet, and deeply people-oriented. She is timid and quiet, but incredibly observant. When her foster set up a soft bed for her, Tiana climbed right in as if she knew it was meant just for her, choosing her crate as a safe and comforting space. She responds beautifully to calm verbal cues, offers sweet eye contact even when unsure, and has shown no fear-based aggression—no growling, snapping, or teeth. Tiana handled her first bath with remarkable tolerance, appears comfortable with men, and is cat-friendly—curious but respectful, choosing to retreat rather than react. The outside world is still new and overwhelming for her, but she’s beginning to walk well on leash and is especially charming in the mornings, when her playful, “ham” side shines through. While she’s still learning her potty routine, she has had no indoor accidents, suggesting she has good instincts and just needs patience and consistency. 💫 Tiana will thrive in a calm, patient home—one that understands that trust builds slowly and quietly. She doesn’t need much: a gentle environment, steady guidance, and someone willing to move at her pace. If you believe the softest souls are often the most special—and that watching a dog learn safety and love for the first time is a privilege—Tiana may be your girl. 💕
