If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.     Adoption Fee: $800   Amora is an 11 month old Maltese x Yorkie mix who can’t wait to bring oodles of love to her lucky forever family! Amora was rescued from the shelter with a bunch of her pals when the shelter was running out of space. She needed a bath and a trim, so we whisked her to the salon and let one of our amazing volunteer groomers work their magic! When we saw Amora a few hours later we could hardly believe it was the same girl! Amora weighs 8 pounds and has a light shedding coat so she won’t be an option for those with allergies but she is ready to shower you in endless love!    Amora is absolutely bursting with personality and everyone who meets her will agree! Amora loves being cuddled and has a knack for finding any open lap in the room so she can get her snuggles. She loves to dance on her hind legs and bounces around to show off her moves. Amora takes on every day with a sunny outlook and a desire to make the most of her waking hours. She loves playing with her toys and picked up fetch instantly. She adores her backyard and will roll around and romp in the grass for hours if you let her. She loves following her humans around the house and keeping herself abreast with the daily household agenda. She runs a tight (but adorable) ship as she makes sure you’re bringing home the bacon! Amora is the perfect blend of snuggly and playful like any good puppy. She’s down for whatever you want to do, whether that’s a long hike, a camping trip under the stars, or a day on the couch watching romcoms! Amora would be a fabulous addition for just about any home, as long as you are ready to shower her in love and affection.  Amora wakes up around 6:30 AM when her foster humans get their day started. She goes outside for a potty break and then lounges around while the humans get their days started. She gets breakfast and then heads out on her morning stroll. During the day, Amora hangs out on her bed, plays with her toys, or keeps her foster mom company as she works at her desk. She takes a nap while her foster mom leaves for some errands and then plays in the afternoon before she gets another walk. She has dinner around 6 PM and then hangs out with the rest of her family for the remainder of the evening until she goes to bed around 9 PM. Amora has previously lived with other dogs and gets along well with them. She lives in a household filled with humans of all ages and adores them all. Interested homes should be prepared to continue the training and socialization her foster home has started. Amora is super smart and has already picked up several tricks. What a smart girl! Amora walks well on the leash. She is house trained and crate trained. She is just so loving and she can’t wait to charm you instantly! Come fall in love with Amora today!      Amora is an option for homes who have prior dog owning experience. Kids should be over the age of 5.January 29, 2025, 4:26 pm

Elmo was rescued with several of his muppet pals when they needed a place to crash. We knew we could find them perfect forever homes so we scooped them up and brought them to our DPS studio! Elmo weighs 11 pounds and is just as adorable as can be. He has a non-shedding coat and is an option for homes with allergies or who just want less hair around the house. Come and meet your new best pal, Elmo, today!     Elmo is a vibrant, energetic, fun loving adorable pup who is just the best resident of Sesame Street ever. Elmo adores his humans and follows his foster mom around like a cute little shadow. Elmo loves playing with his toys, chasing butterflies across the yard, and generally soaking up life. He loves cuddling and is always happy to park himself in your lap for snuggles and kisses. He is super sweet and affectionate and has a permanent smile on his face. Elmo is the perfect blend of playful and laid back. He’s just happy to do whatever you want to do. Elmo would thrive in a home ready to shower him in love and affection. He just wants to play and explore the world with his lucky forever family. Elmo’s tail wags so much that he is known to accidentally smack people in the legs as he shows off his bright smile. He can also stand on his hind legs and bust a move, so get your disco ball ready! Elmo is just the sweetest pup in the entire world and we know he will be an amazing companion to anyone (but Rocko).  Elmo starts each morning with snuggles and kisses at 7 AM. He goes outside to potty and then enjoys breakfast before playing with his human foster siblings. During the day, Elmo alternates between hanging out in the house, romping around the backyard, and napping in the sunshine. Once everyone comes home from work and school, Elmo shows off his zoomies and gets tons of belly rubs and kisses. He eats dinner when his foster humans do and then spends the rest of his evening cuddling until he goes into his crate for the night Elmo currently lives with a resident dog and they get along well. He adores all humans from the young to the young at heart. He loves being chased around and is amazing at being “it” during tag. Elmo walks well on the leash and loves going on walks. He is 80% house trained. Elmo is just a wonderful little pup who can’t wait to meet you!      Elmo is an option for homes who have previously owned a dog. At 2 years old, she’s a little lady who thrives on love, patience, and a good walk. Harmony might take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she’s all in! She’s got a great balance of playful energy and calm companionship—whether she’s chasing after her favorite ball or lounging at your feet while you binge-watch your favorite show. And the best part? She’s totally housetrained, never had an accident, and doesn’t bark, dig, or chew. Yep, she’s practically perfect! Harmony while a mix of breeds who typically don't shed, because of her wire coat, will shed lightly.    Harmony’s daily routine is simple yet delightful. She’s on your schedule—waking up when you do and settling in for the night around 10:30 PM. Four walks a day keep her tail wagging, and while she’s not one to inhale her meals, she’s always up for a snack (who isn’t?). When you’re out, she hangs around the apartment like a little independent queen, choosing between her comfy bed on the floor or snuggling up at the foot of yours. With a patient approach, you’ll see her confidence soar, especially during her walks and playtime with toys.   Harmony gets along well with other dogs, showing relaxed and friendly body language on walks. While she’s not a fan of sudden movements or loud noises, she’d do great in a home with older kids who understand the art of patience and gentle love. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, sweet-natured companion who just needs a little time to trust, Harmony is ready to fill your life with joy, snuggles, and plenty of tail wags!   Cute note from her foster: 'When we first met she was hesitant of me and her surroundings, so I gave her the space to explore. Once she found some balls in the corner, her tail was wagging and she was throwing herself the ball! I found it a perfect opportunity to have fun together. She would bring the ball back to me so I could throw it again. It was so cute and funny to watch her run around with confidence. I know having consistency (a permanent family) in her life will really make her a special girl.'   Harmony is a best option for someone who has dog experience and has owned a dog of their own. If there are kids they need to be calmer, quieter and over the age of 10.January 28, 2025, 5:45 pm

He weighs 12 lbs and has a non-shedding coat that makes him an option for those with allergies. He will require regular grooming. Mellow got his name because when he arrived, he was just such a chill dude! His foster says: Mellow truly lives up to his name. When he first arrived, he was calm but slightly reserved, taking a day or two to observe his new environment. Now, he’s fully settled in and shows his sweet, affectionate side. Mellow is a cuddler on his own terms—he enjoys gentle affection but also appreciates his space. He isn’t a “velcro dog,” but he does like to be nearby and will quietly follow you from room to room just to stay close. His calm demeanor is unshakable, even in noisy or chaotic environments. Mellow has an easygoing daily routine: Morning: He wakes up around 6:00 AM, goes out for a potty break, and has breakfast shortly after. Midday: On the weekends, a mid-morning walk is a highlight of his day. He enjoys a nice, leisurely pace and loves sniffing around. Afterward, he’ll nap or lounge in a cozy spot near his people. He is ok while we are at work all day. Afternoon: Mellow gets some playtime or gentle interaction if there are other dogs around. He eats dinner around 6:00 PM. Evening: Another walk to stretch his legs, followed by quiet time to relax and unwind. Night: Mellow sleeps through the night on his own comfy bed, usually near his humans. Mellow gets along well with both big and small dogs. He plays gently and respects other dogs’ space when they need it. He’s been off-leash with other dogs and is always polite and social. He’s amazing with children of all ages! He’s patient with loud noises and tolerant of small hands grabbing for hugs or pats.   Mellow is the perfect mix of playful and chill. He loves his walks and can happily engage in playtime, but he’s equally content lounging on the couch or in his bed for hours. He’s more of a lounger than a high-energy dog.   Mellow is a dream on a leash! He walks at a steady, relaxed pace without pulling. He doesn’t bark at other dogs or chase squirrels—he’s more interested in exploring scents along the way. Mellow is fully house trained and knows to go outside for potty breaks. He hasn’t been crate-trained because he’s trustworthy in the house, and he doesn’t require a doggy door or potty pads. Mellow doesn’t chew on furniture or shoes. He prefers his toys if he feels like nibbling. Mellow rarely barks. He might let out a single alert bark if someone comes to the door, but he quickly settles.   Mellow would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can enjoy regular walks and plenty of cozy spots to relax. He’d do great in a home with kids, other dogs, or as a solo pet. His perfect family would be one that appreciates his laid-back demeanor and enjoys spending quiet time together. He’s an easygoing, no-fuss dog who fits seamlessly into almost any environment. Whether you have a bustling household or a quieter lifestyle, Mellow will adjust and bring peace and joy into your life.   Mellow is a rare gem and is an option for almost any type of home! If there are children they need to be over the age of 5.January 29, 2025, 1:09 am

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $850 Coral is a 9 month old Maltipoo who weighs a whopping 7 lbs! She came to us from a shelter in the Central Valley and lit up the room from the moment she arrived. Shy is not a word in this social butterfly's vocabulary. She wants ALL the attention and love! When Coral first arrived at her foster home, she explored her new digs with enthusiasm and was excited to meet and make friends with the foster dog, cat and other foster parents. She still continues to be a happy go lucky girl who loves her hoomans and is super playful. Coral loves belly rubs and playing with foster siblings and toys. She's a velcro dog who loves to follow humans round to each room She does struggle a bit at first when her hoomans leave, barking and whining, but will settle down after awhile. Coral's daily routine: Wake up first thing (6am) with the zoomies, ready to play! Head outside for a potty and poop (usually walk around the backyard encouraging - as she’s a velcro dog). Breakfast then watches foster mom while she gets ready while trying to make the cat and the house dog play. Once ready, time for a morning walk (20 mins). After our walk, get settled in and ready for work. She’s set up to play with toys and foster mom will toss them for her for a short while to tire her out for naptime. We got outside in the backyard every 2-3 hours or when she wakes up from a nap for a little break to stretch our legs with another 20 min walk outside around noon. Then back for a little playing with foster mom then a little nap, also looking out for those passing by until foster mom is done with work. We head out for an evening walk at about 5:30pm for about 30-45 mins. Come back for dinner and an evening playing with toys and bouncing around with the foster sibling until bedtime around 9:30/10 pm for a final poop and pee then sleep in the playpen throughout the night. Coral wants everyone to be her best friend, LOVES when other dogs visit and instantly makes friends, however still learning boundaries with the house dog and cat when they are done playing. On walks, she wants to greet everyone and say hi! She currently lives with a 23 lb Doodle, a 12 lb foster dog, and the cat, of course. Coral does well pottying outside but still working on potty training. She needs to be let out as soon as she wakes from a nap. She sleeps like a little angel in the playpen but any movement in the morning before you let her out she does whine. When she first arrived, she had a cone and that didn’t stop her. She was ready for action and love! Nothing stood in her way. Jumping from the couch to chasing the cat. She’ll be your best friend and be by your side no matter what. She’s an explorer wanting to take on the world with you and ALL the toys! Coral is only an option for a home that has owned a dog in the last 5 or so years and is ready for all things puppy training. She's still very much in that puppy stage! She is an option for a home with dogs and/or cats. She's an option for kids over the age of 6.January 29, 2025, 1:49 pm
