Story
Meet Rambi – The Sweet and Affectionate Companion Gender: Female Age: 7 years Weight: 3.5 kg Breed: Maltese Rambi’s story is one of strength and sweetness. She was found abandoned on a rainy day along a mountain trail, but her love for people remains unshaken. She’s incredibly friendly and loves cuddles. Rambi easily accepts treats from strangers, shows her belly for rubs, and enjoys being held. Her playful and affectionate personality is sure to melt your heart. True to her Maltese nature, Rambi can show a touch of jealousy, though it’s mild and manageable. When left alone, she might bark briefly to call attention but quickly settles down on her own. Her bark is soft and not disruptive. Rambi is independent around other dogs, showing little interest in them, but she’s kind and peaceful. She shares treats without any guarding issues and avoids conflict if other dogs show aggression. On walks, Rambi is a dream—she follows her person closely without pulling on the leash. Her calm and adaptable nature makes her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a small dog with a big heart. If you’re searching for a sweet, loyal, and affectionate pup to brighten your days, Rambi is ready to be your best friend! 🐾💕

Story
✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ Meet QQ❤️ QQ was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where she lived in a cramped cage with accumulated waste and fur beneath, making standing painful and emitting strong ammonia fumes. She is now adapting to everyday life and is expected to become healthier and happier soon! * Interaction with People: Loves people a lot but initially fears strangers, especially men. Takes time to warm up, but once getting comfortable, she follows around, wags her tail, and likes to be by your side. She gives lots of kisses as a way of saying I love you! * Interaction with Dogs: Shows little interest in other dogs and enjoys spending time alone. Feels uncomfortable with overly aggressive doggy friends! Tends to display her emotion by look to familiar dogs. * Interaction with Cats: Is indifferent to cats and passes by them without much interest. * Separation Anxiety: Has Minimal separation anxiety. Scratches the door when the dog he lives with goes out, but she sleeps and does well alone when the family is out. * Potty Training: Prefers to use indoor potty and is proficient with using pads. Occasionally confuses blankets with her potty spot but is getting training. Does well with outdoor potty during walks. * Hygiene: Cooperates well during baths. Nail trimming can be frightening and cause some fuss, but she stays calm. Is also good with brushing and drying. Feels uncomfortable with scissors on her face. * Walking: Enjoys slow walks, but tends to pull the leash in the direction she wants to go. * Car Sickness: Travels well in the car without any signs of motion sickness. * Is very gentle with no biting, even when touched or petted by strangers. * May bark softly when guests come into the house. * Is afraid of sudden sounds or movements and isn't used to being picked up or put on your lap. * Has allergies and is on an allergy diet. ** Health Status ** - Scaling done, two teeth extracted - Due to periodontitis, her gums have receded, causing instability in her teeth. This prevents her from eating hard food, and she needs to be fed with soft kibble and snacks. - Has an eye injury but no vision impairment. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @co7mo3

Story
Meet Bebe!! Bebe was rescued from illegal puppy mill by our Dorothy Rescue. Behaviours from foster home : Bebe is a very loving and affectionate boy who longs to be cherished by his family. While he may be shy at first, given some time, he will bloom like a sunflower! He gets along well with other dogs and is very gentle with them. Although he hasn't had a chance to meet any cat friends yet, his foster mom believes he would also be gentle with them. When meeting strangers, he can be a bit timid initially. He’s not aggressive; he just needs some time to adjust to new family members and environments. Please be patient as he becomes more comfortable with you! :) Although he’s a little apprehensive about bathing, he manages well and enjoys being brushed. He has excellent grooming habits and good walking manners. He is pee-pad trained with an 80% success rate and is making progress! Bebe is not a big barker and is a very calm boy. He may experience a bit of separation anxiety, but he only howls for about 3 to 5 minutes before settling down. While he isn’t a fan of being in a crate, he remains calm when asked to stay there. Though he may be a bit shy at first, Bebe is such a sweet, calm, and affectionate boy who loves to be cuddled by his family. Would you be his loving pawrents who will spoil him with affection? Allergy/health issues : He hasn’t shown any allergic reactions and behaves well at the vet. He is a healthy, perfect, and loving boy! *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog.

Story
Meet Cotton!! Cotton was rescued from illegal puppy mill by our Dorothy Rescue. Behaviours from foster home : Cotton is a calm and sweet girl who craves love and affection. Currently staying with other dog in her foster home, she gets along well with her, although she may prefer to keep her distance from overly hyper pups. She is comfortable around cats, usually observing them from a distance. Cotton is great with both adults and children, taking her time to approach strangers and greet them quietly. While she tends to be calm, she can also be playful and will sometimes nibble her foster mom's hand when she's excited. Though she’s a bit apprehensive about bathing, she handles it well and enjoys being brushed. Cotton has excellent walking manners and is pee-pad trained. She’s not a big barker, but she might bark happily when excited or to warn other hyper dogs. She doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety and enjoys resting in her kennel, even if she isn’t kennel-trained. Cotton is a gentle, loving girl who truly deserves a forever home. Could you be her loving pawrents? Allergy/health issues : She hasn’t shown any allergic reactions. Although she doesn’t have many teeth left, she loves to eat and takes her time. Fortunately, she doesn’t have any dental issues at the moment. She also underwent a patella operation after we rescued her. *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Story
Hiya! My name is BEA and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Maltese + Yorkie mix Age: 5 years (approx.) Gender: Female Weight: 16.5 lbs (7.5 kg)  Height: 37 cm (paws to top of my head) Length: 56 cm (head to butt) Neck: 25 cm Current Location: MEXICO CITY RESCUE STORY - My rescue story is all too common! My former owners lost interest in me while going through a divorce, and as a result I was left abandoned along with my two puppies. We were left to fend for ourselves, and to make matters worse, my legs had been tied together! A true act of cruelty that led to an infection at my wound. Today, I’m all healed up and in tip top shape!  TEMPERAMENT - I’m a sweat Bea ready to love on my forever family! I do tend to be a bit shy when meeting someone new, but once you’ve earned my trust I’m an affectionate girl. I’m ready for allll the pets (like in this video)! ENERGY LEVEL - Low to Medium - I enjoy playing with doggos and people! While I have an overall calm demeanor, I do enjoy time spent playing fetch and going on walks. I’m not shy when I’m ready to play! And at the end of the day, I cuddle up with my buddies and sleep tight in my kennel. Who’s ready to give sweet Bea all the lovin’ she deserves?! GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown. I don’t have known experience with kiddos! Dogs –  Yes! I get along well with dogs big and small, although I do spend the most time playing with dogs my size.  Cats – Not sure! I haven’t had much exposure to cats just yet.  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Pretty good, but I could use some one-on-one time! I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success! Check out these videos of me walking with a group of dogs here and here.  House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) HEALTH NOTES: I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $728.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates. ##2129857##

Story
Hello, my name is Dennie (Benny) and I'm so happy you have clicked on my bio!  I was born in February 2022 and lived with a human who ended up abusing me.  At 7 months old I was found by neighbours, paralyzed and with 2 broken bones.  Luckily they took me away from that bad situation and brought me to a local shelter where I was seen by a vet.  Because of my condition the vet almost euthanized me-- that's when a sweet lady saw the love and hope in my big brown eyes and fought for my life!  After a full 3 month recovery, I now live with plates in my leg.  Still agile and active I am absolutely able to trot around and play with the other dogs at the shelter!   https://youtube.com/shorts/Kr2IwLcW_xU?si=_SnfdVeuQLtTjo2S You'll find I am a serene and sweet pupper. I am fluffy, soft, and adore cuddles on a loving lap.  I get along well with the other shelter dogs and am not aggressive.  Some big dogs frighten me, so I would love your help keeping me safe and protected.  Typically the only times I bark are when I feel threatened by bigger dogs.   I am quite happy now: https://youtu.be/6-BV7gcj_cY and just know the right new owner will adopt me soon. My ideal match would be someone who is patient, calm and, kind-- just like me! Someone who talks kind to me, lets me cuddle in their lap, protects me from bigger dogs, understands my sense of adventure and my love for toys! I’m only 2 after all, so I am still into toys and I am pretty curious, since exploring is how I learn best!I am eager to follow commands and learn new things. I just wish I had my house training under control. I am hoping I can get it right, but right now the vet is not certain if the damage to my spine is permanent or temporary and only time will tell. So I still have some #2 accidents. Being in a shelter makes it hard for the staff to know how much I have improved, so my adopter should be prepared for diapers, just in case. With luck though, some acupunture or laser treatment will help too. I was in a crate for a very long time and now I just want a loving lap and a fresh start with someone I can be my loving self with. I hope you are my match! I'm in love with attention from kids too and showering my affections on them, as well: https://youtu.be/S0XuZYp3eTQ,  https://youtu.be/m4g4KYjxUS0.  Here I am seeing kitties. No biggie.https://youtube.com/shorts/CEoFSv7_jYg. Likely can live with a cat fine. Energy Level: moderate to moderate lowI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: quite likely fineKids: yes Fears: just big dogs right now. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: noneLeash skills: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: No. Please help me learn! Health notes:I have some plates in my leg. I still have poo accidents.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee wil be by donation, plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Due to the present confrontational Middle East environment where this dog resides, airlines are minimally operating. He/She may therefore be delayed in arriving to Canada. He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##1956227##
