Story
Meet Ttori, a 10-year-old Maltese with a pristine white coat weighing 3.4kg. This little gentleman is as charming as they come! Ttori loves people, greeting both familiar faces and strangers with enthusiasm, often rubbing against them and happily inviting gentle pets. While he hasn’t had the chance to meet children under 13, his sweet and gentle nature makes him a safe companion for kids. He’s so trusting that you can scoop him up with an arm under his belly, and once he feels comfortable, he’ll even roll over to show his tummy. When it comes to other dogs, Ttori is polite and curious, approaching them for a friendly hello, though he’s not interested in engaging in play. He mostly prefers to do his own thing and shows little interest in other dogs or even other animals, like cats or birds. His general demeanor is one of calm detachment. Ttori is a low-energy pup who enjoys relaxing and taking it easy. He spends most of his day napping, but during his awake and walking hours, he can get a bit busy exploring his surroundings. On walks, he’s a dream—following calmly and never pulling on the leash. At home, he rarely barks, making him a wonderfully quiet companion. While he’s comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going outdoors for potty breaks, he has a tendency to mark when in unfamiliar places. He does whine a bit when in a kennel but settles down quickly. While Ttori didn’t show any signs of separation anxiety at the shelter, things are a little different in his current foster home. If his foster mom leaves, Ttori will whimper or even howl for a bit, especially if he senses he’s being left behind. However, if given a long-lasting treat before she heads out, he’ll relax after a while and settle into his spot to rest. This good boy is learning to adjust and shows great potential to thrive in a loving forever home! Story
Hello, my name is Dennie (Benny) and I'm so happy you have clicked on my bio!  I was born in February 2022 and lived with a human who ended up abusing me.  At 7 months old I was found by neighbours, paralyzed and with 2 broken bones.  Luckily they took me away from that bad situation and brought me to a local shelter where I was seen by a vet.  Because of my condition the vet almost euthanized me-- that's when a sweet lady saw the love and hope in my big brown eyes and fought for my life!  After a full 3 month recovery, I now live with plates in my leg.  Still agile and active I am absolutely able to trot around and play with the other dogs at the shelter!   https://youtube.com/shorts/Kr2IwLcW_xU?si=_SnfdVeuQLtTjo2S You'll find I am a serene and sweet pupper. I am fluffy, soft, and adore cuddles on a loving lap.  I get along well with the other shelter dogs and am not aggressive.  Some big dogs frighten me, so I would love your help keeping me safe and protected.  Typically the only times I bark are when I feel threatened by bigger dogs.   I am quite happy now: https://youtu.be/6-BV7gcj_cY and just know the right new owner will adopt me soon. My ideal match would be someone who is patient, calm and, kind-- just like me! Someone who talks kind to me, lets me cuddle in their lap, protects me from bigger dogs, understands my sense of adventure and my love for toys! I’m only 2 after all, so I am still into toys and I am pretty curious, since exploring is how I learn best!I am eager to follow commands and learn new things. I just wish I had my house training under control. I am hoping I can get it right, but right now the vet is not certain if the damage to my spine is permanent or temporary and only time will tell. So I still have some #2 accidents. Being in a shelter makes it hard for the staff to know how much I have improved, so my adopter should be prepared for diapers, just in case. With luck though, some acupunture or laser treatment will help too. I was in a crate for a very long time and now I just want a loving lap and a fresh start with someone I can be my loving self with. I hope you are my match! I'm in love with attention from kids too and showering my affections on them, as well: https://youtu.be/S0XuZYp3eTQ,  https://youtu.be/m4g4KYjxUS0.  Here I am seeing kitties. No biggie.https://youtube.com/shorts/CEoFSv7_jYg. Likely can live with a cat fine. Energy Level: moderate to moderate lowI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: quite likely fineKids: yes Fears: just big dogs right now. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: noneLeash skills: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: No. Please help me learn! Health notes:I have some plates in my leg. I still have poo accidents.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee wil be by donation, plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Due to the present confrontational Middle East environment where this dog resides, airlines are minimally operating. He/She may therefore be delayed in arriving to Canada. He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##1956227##

Story
Teeheehee. Hi, my name is Geena (Tina) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Maltese mixAge: 8 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 4 kgHeight: 20 cmHighlight(s): kind-hearted, calm, mostly blind, cuddly Ok, I have a super sniffer. I have to in order to get around well. Just a middle aged pupper looking for her second half home.Found  by my rescuer in a park in the Middle East without an owner, she tried to find my family, but nobody came forward. Likely dumped there, as often happens in my country when people tire of having a dog. I know, so sad. They may have abandoned me, because I am no longer a spry, playful puppy. This is due to the fact one of my eyes is pretty well blind and the other has poor vision. I have cataracts. No worries, I still get around just fine. Please no interior decorators rearranging furniture all the time. LOL. I currently live with a foster, but she can't hold me long, as the Landlord doesn't want any dogs there. Again, typical my country. Double sad.I'm a kind-hearted dog, who just wants to light up your life with happiness. You know dynamite in a small package. Only the explosion you'll get is pure love. I'll stay close, keeping you warm. I generally do my business on pee pads, though occasionally make a mistake. I'm sure once we get a routine of going putside, it will be much better. In my country it is also illegal to walk dogs outside. TRIPLE sad, right?I'd prefer a home where my person is home most of the time, as I do fine for about 2 hours, then start to bark. Hey, I don't know where you are after a while. I enjoy sleeping next to you and snuggling though. Story
Meet Bebe!! Bebe was rescued from illegal puppy mill by our Dorothy Rescue. Behaviours from foster home : Bebe is a very loving and affectionate boy who longs to be cherished by his family. While he may be shy at first, given some time, he will bloom like a sunflower! He gets along well with other dogs and is very gentle with them. Although he hasn't had a chance to meet any cat friends yet, his foster mom believes he would also be gentle with them. When meeting strangers, he can be a bit timid initially. He’s not aggressive; he just needs some time to adjust to new family members and environments. Please be patient as he becomes more comfortable with you! :) Although he’s a little apprehensive about bathing, he manages well and enjoys being brushed. He has excellent grooming habits and good walking manners. He is pee-pad trained with an 80% success rate and is making progress! Bebe is not a big barker and is a very calm boy. He may experience a bit of separation anxiety, but he only howls for about 3 to 5 minutes before settling down. While he isn’t a fan of being in a crate, he remains calm when asked to stay there. Though he may be a bit shy at first, Bebe is such a sweet, calm, and affectionate boy who loves to be cuddled by his family. Would you be his loving pawrents who will spoil him with affection? Allergy/health issues : He hasn’t shown any allergic reactions and behaves well at the vet. He is a healthy, perfect, and loving boy! *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog.

Story
Meet Cotton!! Cotton was rescued from illegal puppy mill by our Dorothy Rescue. Behaviours from foster home : Cotton is a calm and sweet girl who craves love and affection. Currently staying with other dog in her foster home, she gets along well with her, although she may prefer to keep her distance from overly hyper pups. She is comfortable around cats, usually observing them from a distance. Cotton is great with both adults and children, taking her time to approach strangers and greet them quietly. While she tends to be calm, she can also be playful and will sometimes nibble her foster mom's hand when she's excited. Though she’s a bit apprehensive about bathing, she handles it well and enjoys being brushed. Cotton has excellent walking manners and is pee-pad trained. She’s not a big barker, but she might bark happily when excited or to warn other hyper dogs. She doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety and enjoys resting in her kennel, even if she isn’t kennel-trained. Cotton is a gentle, loving girl who truly deserves a forever home. Could you be her loving pawrents? Allergy/health issues : She hasn’t shown any allergic reactions. Although she doesn’t have many teeth left, she loves to eat and takes her time. Fortunately, she doesn’t have any dental issues at the moment. She also underwent a patella operation after we rescued her. *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile!
