Story
Lillie is a 7 year old maltese/yorkie mix. She came to us when she needed a safe place to land. She is one of the absolute sweetest little ladies you will ever meet. Give her a choice and she is always going to choose your lap or to sit right next to you. Other than people, her next favorite thing is food. She only has a few teeth left, but this doesn't stop her from wanting to dine. Lillie gets along with dogs of all sizes and doesn't mind kitties either. While she doesn't have issues with the other girl pups in the home, she prefers to hang with the boys. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041 We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond. Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you. Story
Lexi is without a doubt a sweetheart. She grew up with her sister, Piper (A black toy pug) and has been quite lost ever since her best friend passed earlier this year. Currently 13 years of age, she requires a lot of care of attention to be happy, but is more than willing to give that love back as a couch companion, sleeping quietly at your side. I'm looking for someone who will give her end of life care, and be a friend to Lexi as she ages. Medically speaking, Lexi's frail and senile, and while able to walk on her own she will often "chirp" or "yip" whenever she needs to go outside, so it's not that bad. Lexi has prexisting skin conditions that warrant frequent baths, such as flaky skin and a penchant to bite her legs due to arthritis. I will be providing what we have used to assist in cleansing her. Overall, she's a gem of a dog. (On the odd occasion she'll even play with toys with her shih tzu brothers!) Lexi still has plenty of love and laughs to give her new family unit!
