Story
Clover is a handsome sweet boy that loves to be brushed and is very independent. He is 13 years young and has lived with his adopted siblings for this time. Clover has a preference where he needs his own litter box and doesn’t like to share. This has become impossible for us being a 4 cat household, and he has been confined to a room with his own litter box which isn’t ideal for him. We think he would be purrfect for a single cat owner as he is very lovable! He is low maintenance, loves to look out windows and meow at squirrels and birdies! He’s a good boy, and just needs a better home situation.

Story
This sweet brother and sister pair would prefer to stay together. They head butt you all day long and love being petted! They are from a high crime neighborhood and didn't always see the best side of people, but their adoptive family would earn their trust over time. Beary is a mainecoon mix kitten growing fast and getting huge (fluffy giant tail and long hair)! We would prefer a quiet household for them. Both Beary (black female) and Barry (gray male) are spayed neutered, have had distemper shots and rabies vaccine, and are microchipped. If you would like to find out more about adopting these kitties, please email info@shadowcatadvocates.org or call Cari at (540) 226-0050.

Story
KiKi is a sweet cat and very shy. She's lived with her sister Bella her whole life but will be fine alone. She will hiss at you then let you pet her right afterward. It's just her way. She loves to be brushed and scratched on the head and back and adores treats! She's not super fond of crowds so I'm not sure how she will do with a large family. She has a sweet disposition and likes quiet spaces.

Story
Meet Stella R. Tois aka "Stella," Jenna C. Brew, and Jennings - 3 one -year-old sisters who are looking for a home. These 3 girls have been with us since they were little kittens, about 8 weeks old. They were found in the parking lot of the brewery in downtown Culpeper.Stella is the braver of the 3 sisters and enjoys being pet, once she gets to know you, on her terms Usually while eating). Jenna C. and Jennings (like twins!) are very shy but submissive. When they need vetted, it isn't difficult to pick them up and place them in a carrier - again, once they are comfortable with you. These girls are not barn cat material. They cannot defend themselves and are not street smart. They are, what we refer to as Violets - or shrinking violets. Stella, Jenna, and Jennings need a patient, quiet, loving home where they will be loved for who they are and their new person or family will be patient until they come out of their shell and learn to trust. They are litter box trained, but at times can knock the litter out or knock the box over. Easily fixed. They are not aggressive. They do not claw furniture and would love a large climber in front of a sunny window. Because they are not lap cats, they have lived a year in foster care and are yearning for their new home.Won't you please open your heart to them? Their perfect home would be a quiet, low activity home with either no children or children over the age of 14. Adoption fee - adopt 1 get 2 free. They just need a good, loving home. PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion. ##2231910##

Story
Bodie needs special care and good carpeted footing as he is FIV positive and has difficulty with mobility, living a healthy life semi-paralyzed with a spinocranial injury. He is a healthy cat, up to date on all vaccinations, is microchipped, and super friendly. He loves being groomed and enjoys human attention and affection. He is best in a home with no other cats.

Story
Sangi is a little cuddle bug (as you can see in the pics)! She is so, so sweet and loves to love on her humans - she constantly rubs all over your legs, will hang out with you, sleep on you, etc. She is an absolute sweetie. She’s also very curious and playful. We found her outside in our neighborhood asking for food. We took her in, but she is quite scared of our other two cats, so we need to find her a home that’s a better fit. She is so great with humans and would do great in a home without other cats. She has her shots but was not yet spayed. Bonus: She surprised us by having three adorable kittens! We are mostly looking to re-home Sangi, but we also are looking for homes for her kittens as well. It would be a dream if someone could adopt Sangi and maybe one or two of her kittens. Hope to hear from you soon!

Koda is mostly independent but he also loves pettings. He has lived his entire life with other cats but seems he would do best in a home with only maybe one or two others.

Story
Miss Minnie is a sweet, gentle cat that adores attention. Her favorite activities include laying on her back with her feet in the air to take naps, grooming her owners and other cat friends, and chasing toy mice. She is a little clumsy and doesn't know her own size! So she will try to jump up onto things that are a little too small for her. She's good with children and other cats, in fact she will probably try to groom them like they're her kittens. Minnie was adopted after having all her shots and being spayed. Adoption fee is to ensure her safety, as we don't want just anyone taking her. She is special to us but we can't have her here with the owner experiencing health changes and housing limitations. She is perfect for a home with or without other cats, with owners that will give her love and attention. Minnie is sweet and kind to children, she is so gentle she doesn't even jump up on our laps, she just lays next to us.
