MEOWMY'S CONSTANT COMPANION  DOB 7/24/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Luna, a sweet, gentle, and fluffy brown Classic tabby Maine Coon mix gal who loves to nap as I snuggle next to Foster Meowmy and hang out with her as she works. Even though I don’t literally crawl up in her lap, I guess you’d say that I’m Meowmy’s little shadow. I adore playing interactively with her as she snakes strings that make noise all around the room. It’s fun to hide from her in cat tunnels and condo cubes. When she’s not around, I’m perfectly content to bat the ball in the circle tower as well as play soccer with my catnip mice and jingle balls. My momma Lily and I were rescued from under a relative’s car chassis when I was just two weeks old. Thank heavens Foster Meowmy stepped up and brought us inside to safety. I was so blessed to stay with momma Lily so she could teach me all the manners that I needed to know. Initially I was a little shy in getting to know Foster Meowmy, but she patiently waited for me to warm up to her. That paid big dividends because now I adore cuddling with her. Now that I’m weaned and fully vetted, I’m ready to find my forever home. I’d be a great addition to a home with another kitten or furry playmate! Although we’re available separately, Lily and I think it'd be the cat’s meow if we were adopted together. Two’s more fun than one, and we could be snuggle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. During his stay, he’s learned how to be a cuddle bug while still staying at his roots of being a feral cat. Gandalf is a cat that is not for the faint of the heart. He shows so much love but can bite when not careful. He needs to be adopted as a only cat in the family. Once again, He is very sweet and will be by your side no matter what. He often prefers attention from people over food. He is independent and bold, brave and affectionate. Harvey was big and muscular when he came to GNAR, but after being neutered, has slimmed down. He was very successful as an outdoor cat. Resourceful and generous with helping other cats, and sweet talking people not-so-subtly to bend to his will. He is a kitty politician. If you are a dog person, this is the cat for you. You could probably teach him tricks. He is attentive and wants you to please him : D Background Harvey and Necia were found as strays together. Outgoing Harvey showed up first outside of an industrial building where the employees started to gain his trust and feed him. Uber-friendly Harvey accepted their invitations for friendship after a short while, and soon started inviting himself inside the front door, so they decided it was probably time to look for a new home for him. After he then also brought his new girlfriend Necia to join him, everyone started worrying that there would be kittens if they didn’t do something to prevent it soon. Harvey was very protective of Necia, so they didn’t get chance to get close enough to her to see if she was also tame. Once the 2 cats started getting too bold and trying to come indoors to the office, the employee contacted GNAR to help find a home for them. So they borrowed traps, and brought them to their new foster home. Harvey continued to guard Necia, so the foster home separated them to let Necia show her true personality. Harvey also sweetened up more after he was relieved of his perceived responsibility as Necia's protector and provider. Description Umami is a cuddly, outgoing, affectionate, very handsome kitten. Personality Umami was confident and an extrovert the day he was found. Even though he had never been held by a human before when found at 8 weeks old, he had no problem with it. He was a bit scared for the 1st few days but as soon as you picked him up he melted into a puddle of purrs. He loves to explore and has no fear. He is very curious and is oblivious that some other animals may want to eat him. He will burst out of a doorway, run right up to a large new dog, slipping through the bars of a babygate to join the pack. Umami is talented at jumping up onto a counter to get closer to you. He is a daredevil, talker and enthusiastic eater. Patience is not his forte and he will make sure you know it. Background Umami was found in front of a house all alone after a big storm in southwest Houston on Mon May 13. His momma never came back for him. His finder brought him to a foster home who had 3 bottle baby kittens of about the same age and added him to the litter of orphans. He was just old enough to already be able to lap kitten formula for himself and eat solid food.
