Story
Lola is the most affectionate Maine Coon girl. Please check our available cats in need of a home on our website: http://www.adoptapet.com/cat-chance-rescue/ Lola is currently in foster home: please contact: 610-324-4726 or catchancerescue@gmail.com Please note: we are located right outside of Philadelphia and can only adopt our pets within 1 hour driving distance from Philadelphia. Lola is a Maine Coon Mix with beautiful soft long fur and a ruff around neck and tufts on ears and paws. Her owner passed away so she is looking for a home to retire. Hi my name is Lola, and I am a gorgeous Maine Coon girl, I love to get my long silky fur brushed. I have a beautiful silky brown tabby fur with a bushy tail. I am also a very affectionate, social kitty who loves to jump on your lap and purr purr purr. I am playful, social and I will race to the front door to greet you when you come home! I am very interactive, social and love to be with people a lot, see what they are up to and stick my little nose into everything you do and everywhere you go. I love nothing more than being petted and snuggle. I am very smart, kind and like to talk a little bit. I have great funny personality and I am very kind, playful and sweet like all Maine Coons are. Maine Coon is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, the Maine Coon is generally regarded as a native of the state of Maine (in fact, the Maine Coon is the official Maine State Cat). I have a kind disposition. I am the best couch/bed buddy. I am very kind, playful girl, who also enjoys to lounge around and my favorite spot is a windowsill where I enjoy looking at birds. I am litter box trained, I am trained to use my scratching post and I love it a lot as well as getting my long, glossy fur brushed. My foster mom calls me a “purring machine” as soon as I see people I purr and rub against them to get attention and love! I love to snuggle with people, right under their arm. To learn more about Lola: please contact: 610-324-4726 or catchancerescue@gmail.com Lola is up-to-date on all shots: Distemper, Rabies. Tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Spayed. Lola is litter box trained, uses scratching post.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Tetra! Seriously, how stunnig is this girl? Tetra is a striking calico with long fluffy hair that is soft as a rabbit. She has a sweet, calm personality to go along with her good looks. She loves to be pet, and chin scritches are her favorite. She is about 7 months old and we'd guess that she's going to be a fairly sizeable cat. She gets along really great with all the other cats and kittens she's being fostered with. She is gentle and has a very chill, regal personality. Most of the time she's laid back, but when the urge hits her she will play forever! We think she's pretty amazing and we know you will too!  This cat is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $250Can’t adopt? Consider donating! Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *     DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:  Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 2:56 pm

Story
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION: Edgar is an adult Maine Coon. He is a big, cuddly boy. Edgar needs a diet of good quality wet food, not dry. He has problems with constipation. He has tested positive for FIV, but is in good health. Recent dental. He will be stressed by other male cats and will be aggressive, but is fine if those other cats are calm. He gets along with females okay. He does not like dogs. He is very affectionate and sweet toward people. He is stressed around small children. Edgar needs in an adopter who has a good relationship with their vet. Edgar is trained to allow claw clipping and likes carriers. He will need frequent claw trims. He is very good with medical care, including oral medication and fluids. He is a large cat, and Maine Coons are smart and need a lot of enrichment in their environment in order to not become destructive out of boredom. The right adopter will understand that a large long haired Maine Coon will need certain additions in their environment and diet. We are not sure exactly how old Edgar is, but we suspect over eight years.

These pups are in Reading, Pennsylvania too!

Story
Has been around toddlers since we got him from Animal Rescue League, about 2 years old. Pros: Easy going Doesn't scratch furniture or carpet Independent eater/drinker (food water left out all day without issues) Minimal counter stepping although not zero Pine litter box trained, never had issues going outside of box, except for plants Chill Only ever been inside Cons: Digs in large plants and pees in the plant dirt Stinky poop, sometimes doesn't cover or mix litter box I honestly can't think of other cons. I had never really bonded with this cat. It was a third cat to add a kitten while we had a 1 yr old and the two 10yr old cats were my first babies. The older two have since needed to be put down for health issues and with this cat being left I am finding myself falling out of love with cats.

Story
Hi! This is Zekey. Zeke is a senior brown tabby cat. With a couple of seasoned gray hairs. He is 12 years old and is in need of an experienced adopter. He is just the sweetest boy you could meet, he comes to you when you call his name, he loves to cuddle, and chin scratches are his favorite. The only reason I am choosing to rehome Zeke is because recently his age progression has become something that needs more attention than I am able to give due to my work schedule with two jobs. I have two care takers for Zeke so he is well and happy when I’m not there usually. Zeke has a very quiet meow. And two medical problems. One is joint dysplasia throughout his whole body. He cannot do stairs and he topples often but gets right back up. You will notice his paws are crooked because of this condition. His second medical issue is bathroom. He has trouble staying put while using the bathroom so I usually carry him to the box and sit with him there so he won’t go elsewhere in the apartment.
