This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. This sweet girl is shy but sweet. She loves to sit in her little tent or cubby and survey her kingdom. Once she knows she is safe, she is a lover girl but will need patience and a quiet home to help her blossom. She has become pals with our literary kids (Agnes, Branwell, Bronte and Jane Eyre) and would do well with going home with one of them or with a sweet and gentle cat pal. UPDATE: I now crave attention and love pets and will twine around your legs and seek it out. Will I give you the occasional hiss - yes! Do I know what a hiss means - No!! Do I continue to seek you out for attention and act like a kitten batting at strings hanging on your clothing - yes, to that too!! This is a sweet but quirky man who may be the cutest cat alive.  -I am a gorgeous boy who has had a bit of a rough life and that has led me to be suspicious of some people (especially men). I have tried meditating but found that setting boundaries (3 pets on the head and not 4; snuggles only when authorized) is the best way to go. My person who gave me all the love in all the right doses passed away and now I am looking for that purrfect person who understands that I don't have the best communications skills but have so much love to give.. I am gorgeous, fluffy, entertaining and low energy. I am an easy boy to have around. I do have allergies to dust and such and as such may sneeze some artsy snotalicious designs upon occasion but it doesn't slow me down and I don't mind if you don't. I was overlooked by people before my last mom (who passed away and I miss her a lot)  because I am FIV+. What does that mean? Not a lot. It is mostly a label.
