Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mary is a beautiful long-haired girl who. would love to be adopted with Pawla. My name is Mary and I am a very affectionate young lady.  A kind man and woman saved me from the cold in the winter and now I am ready for my forever home.  I just love being with people, and having all the attention!  I am very laid back.  I am FIV positive and would do best in a home with another FIV positive cat or I can be your one and only.  Please read about FIV below.  There is nothing to be afraid of -- I am not contagious and I can live a long happy, healthy life.   If you want to make my dreams come true, please contact my foster mom at nearinc2004@yahoo.com if you are ready to meet me.  What is FIV?  Feline Immunodeficiency Virus(FIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system of cats.  There is no treatment or cure.  FIV is a cat-only disease and cannot be transmitted to people or dogs.  FIV+ cats should be kept indoors to prevent exposure to illness, sterilized and fed a balanced diet.  They should be seen by a veterinarian at least once a year to ensure their ongoing good health. Transmission:  FIV is passed from cat to cat mainly through deep bite wounds, the kind that occur during fights and territorial disputes involving feral and unsterilized males.  Casual, social behavior such as sharing a water/food bowl and mutual grooming will NOT spread FIV.  There is no evidence that cats in the household with an FIV+ cat will acquire FIV from the FIV+ cat. Lifespan:  Multiple medical studies show that cats who are FIV+ live just as long as FIV-negative cats.  FIV itself does not cause severe clinical signs, and FIV+ cats can live many years without any health problems.    For additional information contact your veterinarian.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 21, 2025, 10:41 pm

Story
Felix, a Maine Coon mix, came into my life when I bought my house in 2019. The prior owners kept him solely as an outdoor cat, but I started bringing him indoors and eventually tried to litter train him to no avail. We compromised, and I installed a cat door so he could come and go as he pleases. As he will be 11 years old around April 18, 2026, he spends most of his time indoors sleeping belly up in the sunshine. He is a very kind and gentle cat that loves to be loved and loves to be held like a baby. He's a different sort of feline that seems more like a dog, as he will follow you around and want to be in your general vicinity. He needs a companion who will be there for him, which I am not, because I am constantly traveling, and soon relocating to a place that is not so friendly to felines. He does not jump on counters, nor does he claw at anything but his scratching lounger. He has a very calm demeanor and lets you trim his claws—vets and groomers love him!

Story
Hi there! I`m Jed, a shy but sweet guy who comes with a built-in bestie named Margo. We`re a bonded pair who`ve been through quite a journey together, and we`re looking for a special home that understands our cautious nature. I might take a little time to warm up to new people, but once I feel safe, I can be quite the affectionate companion. How did we get here? Found by a good Samaritan.**We are a bonded pair, so we get to go home together! I have tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but the good news is I can still live a long normal cat life! Speak with an adoption specialist for more information. We are currently living in a foster home - please fill out a survey and select a phone appointment to complete the adoption process. Once that process is complete, your adoption specialist will schedule a time for you to meet us in person!**~Our adoption fee is $100.00.~

Story
We purchased Chewy in July at the age of almost 2 years old. She had lived at the Mega Coon Cattery in Sanford, NC since birth. She has not done well having to live with an energetic 2-year-old golden retriever, even though we gave her time to acclimate in the bathroom for the first week and then the adjust bedroom and bathroom for another few weeks. We thought we had given her enough time to adjust. We were wrong. She seems and appears constantly stressed with the dog. Even though we have gates and she can escape upstairs she constantly looks worried an on edge. We thought we would try and isolate her again with a second introduction, but she has no interest in being confined to the bedroom and bathroom again. She cries and claws at the carpet and door. She really is a sweet food motivated cat that give you the sweetest trills when she's around you. She needs a calm home where she can be queen, please. Thank you!
