We`re a bonded pair who`ve been through quite a journey together, and we`re looking for a special home that understands our cautious nature. I might take a little time to warm up to new people, but once I feel safe, I can be quite the affectionate companion.How did we get here? I have tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but the good news is I can still live a long normal cat life! My fiancé and I are unfortunately actively seeking to rehome a cat. Not originally his, he has cared for her 3 years. He was told she is a Maine Coon Tuxedo cat. She has been to the vet previously but is not up to date on shots. Only an indoor cat. Figaro, as she is called, does not like nor gets along with other cats or dogs and while he has been able to separate her in his home it has not been ideal and the space too small for her. Our new home does not afford us the opportunity to give her a space away from the other animals or the chance to be playful and opportunity to seek out human affection. She is curious and loves to play with toys and if given opportunities will explore cupboards. Though independent, she will still seek out leg rubs and a head scratch on her own terms. She loves food-any type and has been known to reach into a bowl from time to time to share in a snack. Below is a picture of her. She is 7 years old and is spayed.

Hello, this is coma. He is a two year-old Maine coon . He loves to cuddle and look out the window to sunbathe. He is also full of energy and loves playtime. He is looking for a very loving and energetic family to be a part of.

Silas is a 7 year old neutered male Maine Coon mix. He is a loveable & sociable cat. We rescued him as a kitten at 2-3 months old. He is diabetic & is on insulin. He is doing good on his medicine. Unfortunately, it requires being home to feed and give it to him. Our family dynamic has changed & it is hard to be there for him. We had never had a cat in the house before getting Silas. We found out later that my husband is allergic & has recently developed some other medical issues making it hard to be around him. He is used to a dog in the house (he grew up with our dog). He is good with people, easy to hold, & play with. He purrs a lot & loves to lay in your lap. He is an indoor cat, but he loves to go outside & look around. We have a screened in porch that he goes on. He will take a bath & play fetch with his toy mouse. He is up to date on all vaccines & vet visits. We think he would do well in an environment with adults & older kids, retired person or one who works from home.

Transmission:  FIV is passed from cat to cat mainly through deep bite wounds, the kind that occur during fights and territorial disputes involving feral and unsterilized males.  Casual, social behavior such as sharing a water/food bowl and mutual grooming will NOT spread FIV.  There is no evidence that cats in the household with an FIV+ cat will acquire FIV from the FIV+ cat. Gemma is a five year old cat with lots of love to give, but she unfortunately has a lot of anxiety that leads to behavioral issues. She is great with adults that she has gotten to know, but it does take her a long time to become familiar with others. She becomes stressed out with other cats and children, and that stress usually leads to fights and swiping. Gemma needs a home with no children and no other cats (she is good with dogs!), and someone who is very patient and experienced with cats. She really is such a loving cat once she knows someone, but she needs a lot of time to get there. We love her so much, but our home has become a very stressful environment for her due to other cats and a newly mobile baby. Despite our efforts to separate her, we are unable to provide a stress free home for her while also keeping our baby safe because we recently had to move into a smaller place. We would really like her to find a home where she can be comfortable and relaxed all the time.
