Story
We prefer adopters to live within 1 hour of Claymont, DE 19703. Introducing Brutus. We were contacted about 2 cats that were outside. They were being fed and the feeder knew they needed to be spayed/neutered or there would be more. The feeder said they weren’t totally feral and scared cats. They were reserved to protect themselves. The feeder named him Brutus because he was always bullying and picking on his sister. The feeder took in the female and we took Brutus into rescue. Brutus continues to bully the others so he will probably do best as the only cat. He needs to be dog tested. Brutus eats like a horse because he is huge like one. He is playful and funny. He enjoys being brushed and petted. If you would like to meet this handsome boy please request an application by emailing us at AOLanimalrescue@gmail.com.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Onox! This gorgeous kitten is about 6 months old and already has a luxurious thick coat of soft fluffy hair. He has a very sweet personality to go along with his good looks - he is affectionate and enjoys being pet and cuddled. He gets along really great with all the other cats and kittens he is being fostered with. He was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina along with his brother, Link, and he's excited to find a loving home! He will need regular brushing and grooming to prevent his long hair from becoming matted.  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $300Can’t adopt? Consider donating! We are in need of cat food, litter, and enrichment items for the kitties in our care!    Links to our Amazon and Chewy wishlists: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/QFBUQI1CQBCZhttps://chewygivesback.prf.hn/click/camref:1100lkBUr/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.chewy.com%2Fg%2Fdelaware-pet-rescue_b88829590 If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms    This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *     DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:  Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 19, 2025, 12:26 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   LAP CAT ALERT!! Link is desperate to snuggle on your lap (or your kids lap, or your friends lap, or literally any lap he can find!) He wants nothing more than to be pet and loved and is the ultimate cuddle bug. He is wonderful with the children at his foster home and often seeks out their attention. He gets along great with all the other cats and kittens at his foster home too. He is confident and friendly, and while most cats take a little bit of time to adjust to a new place, Link sauntered out of his crate at his foster home after a 12 hour trip from the NC shelter he was rescued from and immediately made himself right at home! We just can't say enough great things about this awesome kitten! He was rescued along with his brother, Onox, and he's excited to find a loving home! He will need regular brushing and grooming to prevent his long hair from becoming matted.  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Zelda! This adorable, affectionate mama cat was rescued from a shleter in North Carolina along with her kittens (Lynel and Feathers). She's about a year old and has been a wonderful mother to her kittens, and now she's looking for a loving home to call her own. She has a very mellow, relaxed personality and spends her days perched on the cat tree watching the antics of the silly kittens below - we picture her shaking her head and sighing as they crash into things. She's really more interested in relaxing and being pet and pampered, rather than playing. She has a beautiful, soft, silky coat and a fluffy tail. She's an awesome kitty and will make a wonderful addition to your home!  This cat is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv.
