Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Phoebe was trapped out side along with her sister Fiona.  She is a very pretty dark brown tabby with huge eyes.  Phoebe has been with OMC since she was 7 months old.  She does not like to be touched.  Phoebe is great in the house and likes the other cats and the dogs.  Phoebe will get close to the action and humans but if its too close she will just get up and jog away to a safer location.  She is curious and joins in on the activities.   Phoebe would do best in a home with an experienced person who understands her limits.  She would love to be adopted with her sister Fiona.  While they have been together their entire lives, they are not super bonded.  It would be nice to have them adopted together    Located in Blairstown, NJ  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 3:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Clark is located in Blairstown, NJ    Clark and his 2 siblings were living in the streets when OMC stepped in and broug them into foster care. ( one sibling was adopted already).   Clark is a very handsome gray and white boy who is about 2 years old.  While he prefers to stay out of sight, he will venture out and supervise some of the activities going on.  Clark is not a fan of being touched by humans, but he does seem to like the other cats in his foster room, and he especially likes his brother Fudge.   If you would like to take a chance on Clark and have some time to work with him, he could possibly be a more social kitty.   He would love to be adopted with his brother Fudge.  If you have the time, Clark just might have some love back for you.   He is neutered and up to date.  He tested neg.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 3:56 pm

Abby is a perfect 9-year old white and brown tabby Maine Coon mix. Abby was rescued 4 years ago and is well-loved and cared for. She is loved so much, that that her family wants to find her a new fur-ever home so she can get the attention that she deserves, while a family member prioritizes their health.  Abby would do best in a calm household without children or dogs; it's unknown if she can be around other cats. While she doesn't love to be picked up, she does love to "love" her family on her own terms! This sweet girl shows her affection by purring, kitty kisses and head butts. In her spare time, Abby loves to cuddle in a cozy chair, gaze our the window, or nap under a bed. Abby is spayed and up to date with the vet.  Abby is now available for adoption in Sh rewsbury, NJ. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Fly Guy! This gentle sweetie came to us in rough shape, suffering from hypothermia and severe dehydration, matted fur and treatable wounds. Guy can be a bit cautious around children and seems fearful of men, but with time, patience and love we think he will thrive. He’s not a fan of baths, but he handles it without biting, scratching or being vocal. Though he’s quick to find his escape route when cornered and is certainly regaining muscle strength! Guy enjoys being brushed and even aggressive chin scratches. His FAVORITE food is Blue Buffalo Puree pouches. When looking for a feline companion, Guy might be the perfect match for you. He will need a dedicated adopter who is willing to give him the time and attention he needs to open up. He prefers to stay out of sight and under a bed, but does enjoy the daily pets when his foster crawls under the bed to spend time with him.    *Update 12/1/24* Fly Guy has opened up to his surroundings immensely compared to his arrival temperament. Guy will thrive in a home with another friendly feline. His engagement with his foster increased greatly after introducing him to his foster brother. When the kids are asleep with the dog, Guy and his brother spend the evening exploring the first floor of the house while playing together for hours. Guy will still cower and flea at the slightest unexpected sound or movement. However, he will quickly return when he realizes there is no threat. He continues to flee children and is apprehensive of men so he remains in hiding during the days     *Update 2/8/25* Guy is always on the fly, whether he knows you or not he will flee easily BUT will happily come back and offer you his trust if you lower your hand to him. He has grown to coexist with our family dog and loves his feline foster siblings. Guy would definitely grow to be a cuddler if he were to find a home with adults, as he is easily timid of children. His fears don't hold him back as he always resurfaces for pets. With less chatter in the home, I'm convinced Fly Guy will become more and more comfortable in his atmosphere and be less on the fly. He has become more accustomed to the foster dad of the house, but would still do well in a home with a female figure. Although he does okay with the kids and dog, he'd flourish in a quieter environment. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 8, 2025, 6:22 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rosie is an adorable tripod looking for her furever home! Named after a character from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, this beautiful and petite 5-year-old Maine Coon mix came to OMC! Rescue via a rescuer in New Jersey, who saved her from the streets, along with her children, Éowyn and Pippin (adoption pending). No one knows what Rosie’s life was like before she was rescued, but it couldn’t have been good, as she is very shy and skittish. She is also missing part of her rear right leg. It’s unclear how that came to be, but the leg was already healed by the time she was pulled into rescue, and she did not require an amputation. (She gets around just fine!) Rosie does require a super-patient adopter who is willing to give her all the time she needs to feel comfortable in her new home. Rosie recently had dental surgery to remove several bad teeth, and she seems to be feeling much better. She’s now missing most of her teeth — she was already without several when she came into rescue — but she has no problem eating. Rosie was also severely matted when she was rescued and had to be shaved in several places, but her fur has grown back beautifully. Rosie is not a very active gal — she prefers to chill on the sidelines, watching her kids play. She particularly enjoys relaxing in one of the numerous crocheted cat beds. She would be purr-fect for someone who wants a calm, gentle, and low-maintenance kitty. Rosie currently lives with several other cats, as well as dogs. She’s been fine with the cats, but she hasn’t had any interactions with the dogs, who are big and somewhat boisterous. She would probably be OK with a very calm dog. Rosie has never been around children before, and given her shyness, she would probably do best in a home without young kids. Rosie is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed, and she’s tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Rosie also has wonderful manners and always uses the litter box! (In light of her disability, we recommend an open, low-entrance litter box — which is what she uses in her foster home.) Rosie is located in Burke, Virginia. If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an adoption application on our website: https://omcrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6177. You may also e-mail us at info@omcrescue.org if you have any questions or would like to learn more about Rosie.
