He has lived a happy family life but recently a family allergy has made it impossible to stay with them. He's now looking for another home and we are happy to help him. Billy (DLH Black 7 yrs 2 mths male & Buttercup (DSH 5 yr Brown female Tabby) (bonded), (June 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Billy and Buttercup, what a cool looking pair!, lost their home a few years ago when their owner went to a Nursing Home. They found help from the local Humane Society and had a permanent foster home, or so they thought. Just a couple weeks ago, that foster home said they could no longer care for them and asked for them to be moved to an adoptive home. They are a bonded pair, devoted to each other and are looking for a home together. The cat's adoption fee is $100 EACH, to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Otis-Maine Coon/DLH Male, ~ 10 mo. (March. 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Otis came to Rescue when his prior owners could no longer care for him. They asked a small town Humane Society to help him find another home. He's now safe in foster home and ready for adoption. He is a sweet, friendly kitty and will make a wonderful companion. Jay-Maine Coon/DLH male, ~ 2-3 yr (April 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Jay came to rescue from a small rural town Humane Society. He had been found as a stray. A lovely boy, he has been in an adoptive home with another cat for over a year. Recently, the family found out they have to move and can not take Jay with them. He's looking for a home again. Plea for help from Jonathan: “My friend and I took in several feral cats a while ago. Most are now socialized and many are bonded pairs/families. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. 'Mush'] (NM, Brown Tabby?, DLH?/Maine Coon?, ~7+ years?) & Scout (NM, Black, DSH, ~6+ years?) Mush[mellow] never liked hanging out at the salad bowl, but his food bowl is his claim to fame and weight gain. Scout waits patiently for his turn. And even though Mush also hogs their bed, Scout still loves him and they always work it out. They are best buds for life! Two gentle giants who were found at our local Rite Aid, and are, thus, referred to as the "Rite Brothers". That said, we don't know whether they are siblings, or even related at all, though it is clear they are strongly bonded and have great affection for one another. Mushmellow was initially quite larger than Scout, so we believe there may be some age difference. Whatever the case, they are both big dudes who will need lots of exercise - along with a relatively strict diet. Mushmellow has a tendency to give some pretty strong 'love bites', but he means well.
