Story
I have inherited Gracie from my mother when she passed. She has been living with my brother for past 3 years, however, he is moving and can not take Gracie. I unfortunately have 2 dogs and a cat that will not like Gracie in the house with them. Gracie is strictly an indoor lap cat that used to be my mom's companion. Very loving and probably best in a quiet household.

Story
Goldie's mom was a Silver Tabby Maine Coon, but a bit on the smaller side. That trait didn't reveal itself in Goldie, tho! She's a very large girl! Goldie is so gentle; when she wants attention, she ever-so-calmly paws her foster mom's nose. Goldie, her mom and siblings were rescued from the streets a few days after the kittens were born. Goldie can be a little shy, but she will come around if you approach her calmly and slowly so she knows she's safe. Once she trusts, she trusts with her whole heart. This girl is a total couch potato, especially if the couch is in the sun! She does like to sit NEXT to her foster mom, not ON her lap; She loves to curl up in the crook of mom's arm to go to sleep for the night. Goldie has the most unusual coat - there's a lot of gold fur mixed in with the various browns. Her coat is very plush and does require regular combing. Goldie doesn't like to be brushed or have her claws trimmed, but with the appropriate treats and sweet-talk, she can be persuaded. She's seen here with her kitty friend, Hart, and cat-loving doggie, TyTy. Sadly, Hart AND TyTy left for the Rainbow Bridge. Goldie hasn't warmed up to our new dog, despite his attempts at gentle persuasion. While she hasn't been partial to any of the other cats, although she gets along just fine with them. Recently, Goldie has fallen in love with a six-month old kitten named Bear. We'd love to see them adopted together. DOB: 4/18/18

Story
Sammy is "special needs" as he needs a seasoned human, who is willing to patiently work with him to bring him out of his shell. He really doesn't know if he can trust humans, because he was abandoned out in the cold, cruel world, and he was being beaten up by other strays. We don't know anything else about his history. A good Samaritan saw what was happening to him, phoned us requesting we take him in, and we said, "Bring him!" Sammy was quite shy for the first few weeks at the Sanctuary. When he was ready, we opened his condo door so he could come out and join the others. However, he stayed in the open crate for days! Eventually, his curiosity got the better of him, and Sammy ventured out into the "kitten room," where he allowed us to approach and pet him. He's a very quiet, sweet boy. As for children, he'd be much more comfortable with a very gentle, older child. He seeks comfort with several of our other cats, especially Archie, who makes up in love-seeking what Sammy currently lacks. DOB: 3/1/22 Friendly, Gentle, Curious, Independent, Quiet DOB: 3/1/2022

Story
Archie (along with Suki and Alfie) came to our Sanctuary at two months old, having been born to a feral stray. This litter of kittens was quite shy for several months after arriving but have become very outgoing and affectionate. Archie is a big orange ball of mellow, and he simply adores kittens. Archie doesn't mind being picked up and carried elsewhere, provided you are agile enough to balance this big boy, who tops the scale at 18 lbs. Nothing fazes Archie, and he's very affectionate. He will often approach his foster mom with a glint in his eye and the certainty that she will stop whatever she is doing and show him some loving. For a time, Archie and Francesca were always together; but her attention went to her brother, Bear, and Archie has now turned his attention to the very shy and sweet two-year old, Sammy. Under Archie's tutelage, Sammy has relaxed and is much more approachable. They are both very sweet, with no bad habits, and would love a together forever home.
