Story
Meet Miss Kitty Keys, a sweet soul who has not had an easy life. She came to us after years of neglect, in poor condition from a lack of care. Significantly overweight due to an improper diet, severely matted fur that had to be shaved, and an untreated skin infection, Miss Kitty was in desperate need of help. We're working closely with our vet to address the physical issues caused by her past, and with time, she’s beginning to feel better. At first, Miss Kitty can be a bit fearful. She might hide or hiss when approached, as she’s still learning to trust again. But once she feels safe, she’ll warm up and show her true, gentle nature. Miss Kitty has amazing biscuit-making skills and will happily knead away when she feels at ease. Though she’s been through so much, she has never been aggressive—just the opposite, in fact. When she’s comfortable, she’s a total sweetheart who loves to snuggle.Alicia loves nothing more than curling up on her human's pillow, wrapping herself around their head as she purrs like a little motorboat. She’s looking for a quiet, patient home where she can decompress and fully recover from her past. Alicia deserves a family that will treat her like the queen she is, giving her the care and love she so deeply deserves. If you're ready to offer this special girl the safe, calm, and loving home she’s been waiting for, Alicia Keys will surely bring a lifetime of love and gratitude in return. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.Due to demand, we cannot place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet any cat or kitten available for adoption at the time of visit. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Story
Meet Stassi, a beautiful 7-month-old Maine Coon mix with long, luxurious fur. She came to us from a farm where she lived with 20 other friendly outdoor cats. Sadly, the farm's owner passed away, and the family needed to sell the property, leaving Stassi and her feline friends in need of new homes.Though Stassi is a bit nervous in the shelter environment, she is a friendly girl who loves being petted and will surely flourish in a calmer, more loving home. In a new environment, we believe Stassi will show her playful side and bring plenty of joy to her new family.Stassi is a social cat who gets along well with other cats, and she could be adopted with one of her friends, like Fluffernutter or Bully Scott. Despite her time spent outdoors, Stassi must be kept indoors only to ensure her safety and well-being. She is missing her left upper canine tooth, which our vet will assess—likely due to an injury from her time outside. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle cat who will thrive with love, patience, and attention, Stassi could be the perfect fit for you! She deserves a loving home where she can feel secure and continue to grow into the playful, affectionate companion she's meant to be.This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home!
