Story
Fozzy Bear (born May 2024) is a sweet Muppet who loves to alternate play with lounging in a sunny window. Fozzy has a sweet but dominant spirit and would do best with youthful cats. He likes to play with his pal Benji and his little sister Malina who live in the same foster home. He would also be fine with all of the attention as a solo cat. He can be a rascal and gives love bites when overstimulated. He is also well mannered. If you sleep in, he will come and find you and snooze quietly until you are ready to join him in the day. An adult household would work best for Fozzy as he was rescued as a very shy kitten and remains a bit sensitive to loud noises and abrupt movement. With a soft and fluffy black coat, Fozzy will need an owner who understands long hair breed needs. The reward is amazing poses complete with elegant tail swirls. For a big boy, he has the sweetest mew. We could go on and on. Fozzy Bear is truly a very cool kid. To learn more, visit socalpetrescue.com

Story
Meet Aurora, a beautiful, long-haired, all-gray girl with stunning yellow eyes and a gentle disposition. She is affectionate and very playful... and loves to be picked up or sit in your lap. When we rescued Aurora, she was living in a large colony in Baldwin Hills. A family was feeding the cats, allowing them inside their home, handling them and also had built an outside shelter for. Other than these things, the family did nothing to stop the continual breeding and overpopulation. Originally, I was dealing with 12 sick kittens from the location so, we focused on trying to get all the breeding adults/juveniles, fixed and vaccinated... starting with the females. Aurora was going to be released once she recovered from her spay surgery but while being held at the transporter's home, she escaped. We were so worried about her being in an unfamiliar area but, fortunately, Aurora found her way back to the woman's garage. Soon, she was inside and sitting in their laps. I just didn't have the heart to release her back outside. She's highly-social and would do best in a home with at least one other friendly feline. She also has been around dogs so that could be a good match for her, as well. This girl is very gentle and will meow for affection or attention. She pushes her head and body into your hands, when getting pet and scratched, lifting her bum for maximum scritches! You'll find her full rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #34 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including video and photo updates on all our cats and kittens). I'll be creating an adoption video of her and will be uploading here, to the site. Aurora's adoption will include her: * Spay surgery, * De-worming, * Flea and mite treatment (with NexGard Spectrum), * FVRCP vaccinations, * Rabies vaccination, * Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative), * and Microchipping! ~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~ * Please only contact us if you'll be making Aurora a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors. Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!

Hi, I am a Maine Coon mix. I am already big for my age so will be a big girl! If you're looking for a big kitty, then you might have found her!! I also have a sister, but she doesn't have to come with me. I used to be shy, but my foster moms have given me and my sister so much love that we are now curious and playful as well as cuddly with the right amount of kitty mischievousness thrown in! If you think I might be the one for you, then please text 424-501-5769 and complete the application online at www.rescuemepets.com/forms

Hi, I'm Lanie and I am a Maine Coon mix. I am already big for my age so if you are looking for a very big girl, I might be the one for you. My sister is also looking for a home, but we can go to separate homes. My foster moms say that my sister and I like to hide but come out to play and cuddle when they call us. They also said that we are very curious and a little mischievous. If you think I might be the one for you, then please text 424-501-5769 and complete the application online at www.rescuemepets.com/forms
