Story
Meet Bernard! Bernie is a gentle and loving 9-year-old neutered Maine Coon looking for his forever home. We rescued him about a year ago after he was abandoned, and he’s now healthy, flea-free, and thriving! As a senior cat, Bernie enjoys the simple pleasures in life—napping in sunny spots, cuddling on laps, and taking the occasional stroll outside. He’s both indoor and outdoor trained, though he prefers the comfort of being indoors. Bernie does great as a solo companion, as he came from a home where he lived alone. However, in our home, he has shown he’s good with kids, tolerant of other cats, and even pretty relaxed around dogs (as long as they respect his space). This sweet boy would do best in a quiet, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years in peace. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion, Bernie is your guy! Ready to meet Bernie? Hi, I am a Maine Coon mix. I am already big for my age so will be a big girl! If you're looking for a big kitty, then you might have found her!! I also have a sister, but she doesn't have to come with me. I used to be shy, but my foster moms have given me and my sister so much love that we are now curious and playful as well as cuddly with the right amount of kitty mischievousness thrown in! If you think I might be the one for you, then please text 424-501-5769 and complete the application online at www.rescuemepets.com/forms

Hi, I'm Lanie and I am a Maine Coon mix. I am already big for my age so if you are looking for a very big girl, I might be the one for you. My sister is also looking for a home, but we can go to separate homes. My foster moms say that my sister and I like to hide but come out to play and cuddle when they call us. They also said that we are very curious and a little mischievous. If you think I might be the one for you, then please text 424-501-5769 and complete the application online at www.rescuemepets.com/forms

Story
Sweet, beautiful Tabitha was rescued from the streets in the nick of time. Unbeknownst to her, I could see 2 coyotes in my headlights coming straight for her. Tabitha was just happy to see me knowing I was bringing her a meal. I scooped her up and put her in a carrier before she even realized what happened! She's now totally acclimated to the good indoor life. She loves her warm, soft bed and regular meals. Tabitha is a beautiful, petite Main Coon mix with a gorgeous thick coat of long fur. She's only about 8lbs, she's all fluff! Tabitha is very sweet and affectionate but can be very shy at first with new people and places. She needs a patient human that will let her slowly blossom into the love bug that she truly is. Tabitha would probably be best as an only pet, Queen of the Castle getting all of your undivided attention. Though she gets along with some cats and with a proper introduction may be ok with a cat friendly dog. She would do best in a small, quiet home with just 1-2 adults to dote on her. Please contact the foster at annmariehair@gmail.com

Story
Meet Marty! Marty is estimated to be 14 months old. We say estimated because he came to us on May 25th when he was found with his 2 siblings, his mom and another older cat at a local park in a dog cage. Marty and his two siblings developed a cold after being rescued. They were taken to the vet where a special test was done on his him to see what was going on. The test came back as positive for FHV (Feline Herpes Virus) which is an upper respiratory condition that will cause signs of a cold. Flareups may happen whenever something stressful comes up and being left in a dog crate at a park is probably what brought it on. It is not a serious condition, but it is contagious to other cats (not to dogs and humans) if there are signs of a cold. He has not shown any signs of a cold since then and appears perfectly healthy. A good diet, an immune strengthening supplement and a stress-free environment would be excellent for him. Marty is a playful, curious, energetic boy. He and his sibling Moe love to do parkour and chase each other around. He will run in front of you daring you to chase him. Marty is friendly with the fosters dog and with proper introduction, Marty would do well with a small cat friendly dog. Marty is vaccinated, neutered, combo tested negative, rabies and microchipped. If you would like to know more about MARTY, please contact his foster mom at - alikat52@yahoo.com. A meet and greet can be arranged with an approved adoption application. An application can be obtained at whiskerstails.org

Story
Meet Moe! Take a change on this guy! Moe is estimated to be 14 months old. We say estimated because he came to us on May 25th when he was found with his 2 siblings, his mom and another older cat at a local park in a dog cage. He currently weighs 12.8 lbs. so he is not a little guy. Moe and his two siblings developed a cold after being rescued. They were taken to the vet where a special test was done on his brother, Marty, to see what was going on. He is such a character compared to his siblings. He acts like a dog! He plays fetch (see his video) and will bring a cat toy to your feet and tap your ankle to throw it so he can fetch it. He is a lap cat, neck cat, armpit cat - he wants to be near his human, if you lay down, he is right there with you, purring up a storm. If he is sitting in a high place and you walk by, he will tap you on your shoulder to see him! Oh, if you say, 'I'm going to get you' and take step towards him, he runs and hides and will run back out to have you chase him! He is dog friendly with the dogs in his foster home. He hasn't been around a larger dog, but I believe as long as the dog is cat friendly and with proper introduction, it would be no problem. Moe is vaccinated, neutered, rabies, combo tested negative and microchipped. If you would like to know more about MOE, please contact his foster mom at - alikat52@yahoo.com. A meet and greet can be arranged with an approved adoption application. An application can be obtained at whiskerstails.org

Story
Meet Patches! Patches was left in a dog crate at a local park with her sibling and her siblings three 6-month-old kittens. We are not sure of her age, but it appears she may be at least 2-3 years old. She is a beautiful white and grey tabby with tuffs of fur jutting out the top of her ears. Patches is a calm, shy, sweet girl with a birdlike meow. She is a talker, letting her foster mom know when she's hungry. She is a little shy and will need someone who will be patient and will allow her to relax and feel comfortable in her new home and environment. Important to note that the 3 kittens found with Patches were found to have a virus that develops upper respiratory symptoms when a flare up occurs. A flare up can occur when stressful situations arise. Patches was found with them, is still living with them and although she has no symptoms, it would be better for her to be adopted as an only cat. Patches foster does have dogs, and she doesn't seem to mind them or pay attention to them. We believe a small cat friendly dog would be a good fit for her. Patches is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, combo tested negative, microchipped. If you would like to know more about PATCHES, please contact her foster mom at - alikat52@yahoo.com. A meet and greet can be arranged with an approved adoption application. An application can be obtained at whiskerstails.org
