Meet Aurora, a beautiful, long-haired, all-gray girl with stunning yellow eyes and a gentle disposition. She is affectionate and very playful... and loves to be picked up or sit in your lap. When we rescued Aurora, she was living in a large colony in Baldwin Hills. A family was feeding the cats, allowing them inside their home, handling them and also had built an outside shelter for. Other than these things, the family did nothing to stop the continual breeding and overpopulation. Originally, I was dealing with 12 sick kittens from the location so, we focused on trying to get all the breeding adults/juveniles, fixed and vaccinated... starting with the females. Aurora was going to be released once she recovered from her spay surgery but while being held at the transporter's home, she escaped. We were so worried about her being in an unfamiliar area but, fortunately, Aurora found her way back to the woman's garage. Soon, she was inside and sitting in their laps. I just didn't have the heart to release her back outside. She's highly-social and would do best in a home with at least one other friendly feline. She also has been around dogs so that could be a good match for her, as well. This girl is very gentle and will meow for affection or attention. She pushes her head and body into your hands, when getting pet and scratched, lifting her bum for maximum scritches! Sweet, beautiful Tabitha was rescued from the streets in the nick of time. Unbeknownst to her, I could see 2 coyotes in my headlights coming straight for her. Tabitha was just happy to see me knowing I was bringing her a meal. I scooped her up and put her in a carrier before she even realized what happened! She's now totally acclimated to the good indoor life. She loves her warm, soft bed and regular meals. Tabitha is a beautiful, petite Main Coon mix with a gorgeous thick coat of long fur. She's only about 8lbs, she's all fluff! Tabitha is very sweet and affectionate but can be very shy at first with new people and places. She needs a patient human that will let her slowly blossom into the love bug that she truly is. Tabitha would probably be best as an only pet, Queen of the Castle getting all of your undivided attention. Though she gets along with some cats and with a proper introduction may be ok with a cat friendly dog. She would do best in a small, quiet home with just 1-2 adults to dote on her. Fozzy Bear (born April 2024) is a sweet Muppet who loves to play play play, lounge in a sunny window, and keep you company as you work, read, or practice yoga. Although initially shy, Fozzy’s extraverted personality wins out. He loves other kittens and cats and will make friends with even the most aloof feline. He will chirp to his feline buddies to join in the fun! He likes his humans, too. Fozzy will bat a ball near you to see if you will bat it back. He likes to be picked up and purrs when you hold him. He is a rascally young kitty, but well-mannered at the same time. Fozzy is so soft. He has a beautiful fluffy black coat with grey undertones and gold green eyes. He has the sweetest mew! Fozzy loves kitty scratching posts and interactive toys. He is a scaler of heights, and a cat tree is his castle. No wallflower, this long-haired doll will eventually rule the roost! Meet Okha – A Resilient and Loving Long-Haired Tortie Looking for Her Forever Home! Okha is a sweet and affectionate long-haired tortoiseshell cat with a heart full of love to give. Once cherished by an elderly couple, her world turned upside down when they passed away two years ago, and she was sadly left behind when their children sold the house. Okha survived on the streets for two years, living underneath a trailer where I found her, but it was clear she wasn’t meant for the outdoor life. Unlike the other stray cats in the area, Okha was a bit of a loner—she didn’t roam with the colony but kept to herself. I named her Okha, which suits her independent yet loving nature. When I found her, she warmed up almost instantly, as if she knew she was finally safe. Though we don’t know her exact age, she is likely older than five and missing some teeth, suggesting she may be a senior kitty. She was thrilled to be back indoors, and she was obviously at ease and ready to be loved again. Okha adores affection, loves exploring, and is independent enough to enjoy her own space. She bathed with me, letting me gently remove her knots, revealing her gorgeous, fluffy coat again! Despite having lived outside for so long, she adjusted to indoor life quickly and uses the litter box perfectly. Okha is happiest curled up in your lap or resting on your chest, though she’s never pushy about it—she just loves being close when you’re ready for cuddles. At the same time, she’s independent enough to lounge and nap peacefully when you’re working or busy. This gentle soul also enjoys making biscuits, getting brushed daily, and receiving soft pets. She is okay with other cats but prefers to keep to herself for now. While she’s a little frightened of dogs, that could change with patience and a gentle introduction. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will shower you with purrs and affection while also respecting your space, Okha is the perfect match.
