Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Chinchilla (Chin Chin) and Shadow are a sweet bonded pair of lovely kitties that were rescued together from a large cat colony. They appear to be Maine Coon-mix cats.  Shadow is probably Chin Chin's mother.  They both have amazingly loud purrs!   Chin Chin and Shadow’s rescuer, Sara, provided us with this description of the girls: “Chin Chin is gray and white and was born in approximately May 2016.  She's a bit flighty and will run away at first, even from me, but comes back as soon as I start petting or brushing another cat.  She returns even faster when I'm dispensing treats.  She is very playful and chases balls and other toys around the room.  She even has a regular morning romp with another cat from the colony. Shadow was born in approximately May 2014.  She's very small for a Maine Coon mix (about 6 pounds) and has gorgeous all-black fur.  She loves to be brushed and petted and often meows loudly.  Her fur is curly, so regular brushing is needed to keep mats from forming.  She's even gotten used to stand-up brushing of her belly and will jump onto the cat condo so I can reach her more easily.  Once there, we sometimes touch noses.  She's the sweetest girl.  She's very docile and calm once she gets familiar with you and the household.  She doesn't even run when I vacuum.  She's also very good about eating oral flea medication with tuna or sardines. Both girls are going to be shy at first with new people but with patience and gentle talking, treats and eventually brushing, they'll come around. Both of them have purrs that practically shake the house.  I can hear Chin Chin purring from another room, and she'll start even before I touch her.  Shadow starts drooling when she's purring.  It's so cute! There's no way of knowing for sure, but I believe they are mother and daughter.  They are definitely a bonded pair.   Both are in good health.  I give Shadow daily hairball gel and Chin Chin a powdered probiotic in her food.  They are good about using the litter box and grooming themselves.  Chin Chin and Shadow have both been spayed and will be up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.  They are good with other cats.  They might be okay with older, respectful children, or with a very calm and cat-friendly dog." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Courtesy Post, and Chin Chin & Shadow are living in a private foster home with their rescuer Sara in Hercules, California. If you would like more information, please contact Sara at s_garetz@yahoo.com. Please Note: These cats have not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cats’ status with their rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.October 26, 2024, 8:18 pm

Story
MODESTO, CA:  Roxy is a petite, super-sweet Maine Coon mix who loves laps and all the human attention and petting she can get! She’s curious, affectionate, snuggly, and will follow you all around the house. While she is okay with other cats and with cat-friendly dogs, she would be happiest as an “only” pet in a quiet home. Roxy’s rescue group hasn’t had her long enough to determine her level of playfulness, but they believe she will be playful once she becomes comfortable in her new home. Roxy was rescued by the Cat Network of Stanislaus (CNOS) in May 2024. The people who had been feeding Roxy told CNOS she had had diarrhea for months. Roxy has been treated for intestinal parasites and is eating a specialty food. Roxy has been improving, and she is now ready for her forever home! Roxy was born in approximately July 2021.  She has been spayed and is up to date on her shots. This is a Courtesy Post, and Roxy is with the Cat Network of Stanislaus in Modesto, California. For more information, please contact Monica at info@catnetworkofstanislaus.org or 209-735-0604. Visit their website at https://catnetworkofstanislaus.org Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with the rescue group and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.  October 26, 2024, 8:18 pm

Please contact Lori (whisker2love@gmail.com), (209) 996-8870 for more information about this pet.Meet Charlotte. She is a gorgeous Maine Coon  kitten with long, fluffy fur and big round eyes. She is about 6 months.  She is sweet, but it would take a bit to know that she's safe and that you're her friend. She must be adopted with one of her buddies in her foster home, Garfield or Charlene, and can not be adopted alone.  She is great with other cats and smaller, respectful dogs.  Garfield is a long-haired orange kitten, and Charlene is a long-haired tortie. See photos of the kittens in a baby stroller.  Please contact Lori at whisker2love@gmail.com or 209-996-8870Click here to watch a video of Charlotte.November 6, 2024, 12:32 am

Meet Jinx and Binx! Gorgerous female long haired tabby sisters that look like they are part Maine Coon. They were born April 2nd, 2023.  I would like them to be adopted in pairs.  They also have a sister named Linx and their Mom, Maxi.  I'd like them to go in pairs, either with one another or with their sibling or Mom   Jinx is a sweet girl who makes the cutest little chirp noises.  She is a little shy with new people. but will become a best friend in no time.  Binx is a little sassy.  She is very playful and independent.  She is definitely more of an independent cat who LOVES to play with her feather wand and chase any toy.    November 6, 2024, 12:32 am

Story
Fish Fish is a medium-haired gray tabby with white paws and chin, and we got her as a six-week-old rescue in May 2020. She's always been extremely curious and playful, loving to chase things around and play fetch and climb furniture, but like many playful cats she can play a little rough sometimes, and she startles easily. The ideal home for her is one without other animals because she's a bit territorial, and also without very young kids (older kids will love playing with her). She loves ear scratches, will sit in a lap and cuddle up next to you, but doesn’t like to be petted for too long. She has a ton of personality and is very cute and soft. Once she gets to know you she will sleep on your ankles or in the nook of your arm, ride around on your shoulders if you want, and do something every day that makes you laugh. In the right home she will be someone's soulmate.
