Maine Coon kittens & cats in Mesa, Arizona

We just adopted a dog that I cannot trust around the cat. I need to find her a good home. She’s 12 yrs old. Very playful and loves attention. She is a really nice cat. She doesn’t mind other animals. My other 2 dogs and her got along great!

Stripes is a bit skittish. He is friendly when it is quiet and calm. He is strictly an indoor cat. He was outside a couple of times and will hide behind a bush until you let him back in. He will likely sleep at your feet at night and under the bed during the day. He has lived in a home with 2 other cats and a dog. He is ok with kids as well but will avoid them if they are loud and rambunctious. Stripes is about 8 years old and has no health issues. Since he is a long hair he does have a tendency to get his fur knotted up and he will pull out tuffs of his fur as he grooms himself. He is declawed in the front. Unfortunately I am getting married and my fiances dogs do not tolerate cats.

de Oro (of gold) was taped into a cardboard box and left outside an office. He is very shy, but totally sweet-natured ... in no way aggressive. Having said that, he behaves almost feral if you try to pick him up. He is beautiful and has amazingly soft hair and purrs whenever he is pet ... loves the attention ... but is still working on coming out for attention. He is 5-7 years old. Like most rescues, we don't believe he is a purebred anything, but he is so non-aggressive, so soft and has tufts of white coming out of his ears ... like a small Maine Coon. He has white at his throat. He keeps getting prettier and rubs against my legs when feeling confident.. He loves to be around the other non-aggressive cats, but won't defend food against the aggressive ones. On the other hand, he loves Fancy Feast!. We consider de Oro a "project" since we expect him to continue getting prettier and more loving ... but have no idea how long that will take. It won't happen in rescue with other cats. Ash is a special boy who has overcome a lot in his short life. Found as a kitten on the streets, he came to us with a lot of anxiety and uncertainty. In his early years, Ash was understandably skittish, but with time and patience, he’s blossomed into a gentle, loving cat who just needs someone to see beyond his shy exterior. Due to a past accident, Ash’s pelvis was injured, and he can no longer go outside or be in situations where he could get hurt again. His fragile bones make him a little more cautious, but that doesn’t stop him from being the sweetest companion once he feels safe with you. He may take a little time to trust, but once he does, he’ll reward you with endless fun and playing! Ash is looking for a quiet, patient home where he can feel secure and loved. Smokey was a stray and brought into our family roughly 3 years ago. We are unfortunately homeless and the person we are staying with is allergic. He also has mats in his fur that I am unable to care for. Please he needs a new home asap. He is very lovable.

Chelsea is a Main Coon Tabby mix. She was born in May of 2020; part of an accidental litter and was brought to the rescue during COVID. She is loveable, friendly, outgoing, and sassy. Stanley is 1 of 5 kittens (Lilly, Guppie, Dory, Turtle - all up for adoption) born here, after trapping his feral mommy. He is the most active and playful of the bunch. He can be very dominate over the other kittens in the house. He is very active and needs space to run and lots of toys to play with. Stanley loves pets and sitting with you on the couch as much as he does playing! He seems very mature for his age and is pretty confident in himself. He investigates things instead of hiding. He is the first to check out the vacuum, not run from it. Stanley gets along with other cats of all ages. He has been raised with all the kitties we have up for adoption and gets along great with all of them. Flame was born to a feral mom after a horrific house fire that claimed the lives of several of his mommies colony friends. We found out about Flame and his sibling after we were asked to help locate some of the missing “fire cats.” Flame was raised by a wonderful neighbor who had children that played with them daily. They are all very docile kittens who have no fears. They love playing with the other kittens in the house and get along with the adult cats as well. Flame loves to snuggle on the couch and seeks out attention in both play and pets. He would do good in any home with children old enough to respect him and are careful when handling. He does have a bond with his sister, Ember. He can often be found snuggling and playing with his other friends here. He would love to go home with his sister or a friend but it isn’t required. Because he lacks fears, his environment must be safer than most. He won’t be deterred by loud noises or have a flight response. He can easily be a door jetter. So extra care must be taken.
