Story
Frankie is a Maltese, born in 2017.  He needs to find a new home ASAP with his bestie, Cooper.  He is a Sheltie mix, born in 2015.  Their living situation changed unexpectedly, so they are anxious to settle in again. Here's what we know about them: Friendly with cats, dogs and are used to being around other animals. Friendly with older kids (age 6+). Need a fenced yard and enjoy spending time outside (maybe even doing a little digging). Both have had training - leash trained and do we well when crated. Lap dogs and have a calm side - especially because they're both senior! The perfect home for them would be with someone looking for a great pair of dogs!!  If you're looking for well-trained dogs that are past the puppy stage, please consider applying to adopt Frankie and Cooper. The suggested adoption donation for Frankie & Cooper is $450, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Meet Oliver. He is a senior Maltese (born 2013) who still looks like a puppy. He's a little cautious at first, but then he will be your best friend and follow you around.  Oliver comes as a package deal with his bestie, Coco (born 2014).  Coco is a poodle mix. Oliver is nervous around younger children.  He might be okay in a home with older kids (age 13+).  We'll share more info about this pair when we learn more about them. The suggested adoption donation for Oliver and Coco both is $400.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match.  If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet.  The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person.
