Story
Meet Miss Marla. Marla is a 4 year old teddy bear mix. I believe she is part lhasa apso, and she is smart and sweet and playful. Marla had a rocky start to her life so far but she is resilient! When I first got her, she didn't know what stairs were. In three weeks she has learned to go up and down stairs, sometimes reluctantly, and she will signal that she needs to go outside by going to the door. Marla is very laid back and quiet, she is not a barker. She does have a bit of a stubborn streak, so sometimes you have to work with that to get her to do things. But she is trainable! If you would like more information or would like to meet Marla, please call or text foster mom Rose Roderick, Hales Corners, WI 414-507-2428. Adoption fee of $450 required.

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on January 3rd and arrive on January 4th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 12/4/24 Dog Name: Mitzi Sex: Female Spay Status: She'll be spayed by the time she comes to Wisconsin Estimated Breed Mix: Lhasa Apso Mix Approximate Age: 2-3 years Approximate Weight: 7-10 lbs Adoption Fee: $650 Description: Mitzi was found as a stray in a small rural town, unfortunately no owners came forward and she needed a hero! This sweet petite girl is the quintessential lap dog, she loves to play with toys and loves her Texas foster dog siblings, unfazed by cats and great with kids! Mitzi has big beautiful eyes that will capture your heart!        We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are 6 months to 1 year or age. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.  at one of our preferred clinics. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. December 17, 2024, 8:21 pm

Story
Say hello to beautiful Opal! This sweet girl is about 9 years old. She’s a rescued puppy mill mama Bichon. Like so very many of these so-called breeder releases (i.e. no longer producing sellable puppies so no longer of any value to the business operators) she is extremely timid and unsure of life outside of a locked box. She does not trust humans - and I don`t blame her one little bit. After many months in her foster home, she has made progress, but that progress is always guarded and often accompanied by a swift return to where she was before the progress (she`s a one step forward, two steps back kind of gal). She watches my every move with curiosity/suspicion, lol. She likes to be near the me and the pack when I`m home but doesn`t necessarily want to cuddle in with us. She`s more of a `I`ll be over here watching you, but you can reach over and pet me if you want,` type of pup. She does get excited when I get home from work and will sometimes do zoomies in the yard with the big boys, but she doesn`t want me bursting her fun bubble by trying to get too close. I have built trust with her to the point where she wants to be by me, wants me to pet her, lets me do anything I need to do with her (besides go for a walk), but she is usually still nervous during it all. Heartwarming are the times when she is truly relaxed and enjoying some love from me - those times are slowly building in frequency. Love and patience are paying off. She must have a fenced-in yard at her new home as a leash isn’t an option for this sweetheart. She is going to need time and lots of patient, unconditional love and support to transition into a new life. Her ideal adopter is someone who is looking to share her/his home with an introvert :)You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about Opal on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!! Adoption fee: $425 All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the `HOW TO ADOPT` tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Upon receipt of the completed application
