Story
Gizmo is a sweet little dog, very playful and loves other dogs. Because he has some trust issues from a nasty human at some point other dogs make him so much more comfortable so I think it’s important that there’s a dog in the house for him. He really likes to play because he’s young and he has a great time with my three year-old schnauzer. The senior pitbull in the house is his favorite dog though and he just loves her. He’s very respectful of other dogs and doesn’t bug anybody if they don’t want to play. If you’re soft and patient with him, it doesn’t take him long to start trusting as he wants love so badly. Story
Martin, our 7 year old 19 pound Lhasa, doesn't know what you mean by "sit". Well, that may not be true. Perhaps Martin knows what "sit" means, but he'd rather not. Or, we made an incorrect assumption about Martin's language. Maybe in French, Martin can do your taxes. What we do know is, in any language, Martin is a very good boy ready for a very good home. Found stray wandering around with a German Shepherd (hey, maybe Martin speaks German?), Martin ended up at our local shelter. He was so horribly matted that they had to completely shave him. Due to the state of his teeth and a quiet murmur, we were asked to help. Martin's heart murmur work up came back normal, meaning he doesn't have any signs of significant heart disease. This will just be something to monitor; so we got to work on his neuter and dental. Martin did have to lose many infected teeth, but now that he's got a new haircut and fresh breath, he's feeling better than ever. An easy keeper, Martin has been great in his foster home. He is potty trained, quiet and not destructive. Although a little shy, Martin is friendly and is primarily a lap dog. He is a gentle player, is leash trained, and is a big fan of long walks and hikes. We have not seen Martin around cats but can do an introduction if needed. Martin seems to do well with other dogs. Martin is heartworm negative and is current on his flea and heartworm prevention. It's never too late to learn new things.
