She was rescued from a high-risk city shelter right before euthanasia. • Personality: Timid, Sweet, Lively Wally is shy at the beginning of adjustment and just needs time to open up. Once she is used to the new environment, she will follow you around in the house. STRAY HOLD UNTIL 12/29/2024 A photo with a stray hold banner is public and posted in a desire to reunite a pet with its rightful owner. Our stray hold is lifted after 14 days. The animals are not available to be met or considered for adoption until the whole stray hold time is honored. An "off stray hold" date will be posted for all animals on a stray hold and at that time can be considered for adoption. We appreciate your patience and understanding on our procedures and protocols. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. BANDIT, recently groomed and clipped, is a long legged Lhasa Apso/Maltipoo, who is 7 years old, 17 pounds, and has been an only dog with the same family (who could not keep him), since puppyhood. Bandit does bite people. His main flaw is that he is overly loyal and protective, and will take a bite out of a stranger's foot or ankle if they suddenly come too close. Lhasas are a very ancient breed and were fierce little sentinel and guard dogs for the Dalai Llama and Buddhist monasteries in Tibet. The 14th Dalai Llama sent them as gifts to the West, and they have been a favorite ever since. Bandit is neutered and vaccinated and we are searching for an understanding and patient new home where he can be the dedicated guardian he was meant to be.
