Story
MEET LARRY AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION   Great Pyrenees | Part of the 90-Dog New Mexico Hoarding Case   Larry is a survivor of the 90-dog hoarding case in New Mexico, and he carries the deepest emotional scars. Larry is not aggressive — he is fearful and very shut down.   He will require an exceptionally patient, experienced home that understands non social to people kind of dogs. Larry is still learning that humans can be safe, and his progress happens slowly — in inches, not yards.   This is not a dog for someone looking for quick affection. Larry needs a quiet, low-pressure home where he is allowed to move at his own pace, with no expectations placed on him beyond safety and consistency.   Larry needs: Very experienced adopter Quiet, low-stress environment Secure fencing Time — lots of it   Not for first-time dog owners Not suitable for busy or high-traffic homes Not a livestock guardian dog   Available for adoption, foster-to-adopt, or rescue transfer Apply at www.denkaisanctuary.org/adopt Questions? 970-217-1457 ##2629264##

Story
Available for Adoption, Foster, Rescue Transfer   Name: David Age: 2 years Breed: Great Pyrenees Mix Weight: approx 60 lbs   He Wants to Trust You. He Just Needs Time.   He is very shy… but oh, does he want to be your friend.   This sweet boy absolutely loves people — he just hasn’t quite figured out how to navigate the world yet. He has not been on a leash up to this point in his life, but he is incredibly smart and eager to connect. You can see it in his eyes. He leans in. He tries. He just needs someone who understands that trust isn’t rushed — it’s built.   He is part of the over 100 Great Pyrenees rescued from a local hoarding case and he is now one of only two adult dogs left still waiting for placement.   Imagine surviving that kind of life… and still choosing kindness. That’s him.   He will need: • A patient, calm home • A secure yard • Someone willing to allow slow acclimation • A person who understands shy/undersocialized dogs • Zero pressure — just consistency and kindness   If you can continue his socialization without pushing him beyond his limits… if you understand that progress may come in inches, not miles… if you believe the quiet ones are worth the work…   Please reach out.   He is friendly. He is trying. He just needs someone to finish what rescue started.   Visit our website to fill out the proper application: www.denkaisanctuary.org/adopt ##2651048##

Story
Lovey is still looking for a home — and her story deserves to be told. Lovey came from a difficult situation and is still learning that the world can be safe and kind. Right now, she’s a bit emotionally shut down. She isn’t the type of dog who will rush up to greet you — but that’s not a flaw. It just means she needs patience, calm handling, and someone willing to go at her pace. Underneath it all, we truly believe Lovey is going to blossom beautifully in the right home. Her greatest source of comfort is her daughter, Angel. Their bond is deep and undeniable. Angel gives Lovey reassurance and confidence, helping her feel safe enough to take small, brave steps forward. Because of what we’ve seen with this group of dogs, we believe Lovey needs to be adopted with Angel. Having her trusted companion by her side will give her the stability and support she needs to truly thrive. Lovey is looking for a patient home.A kind home.A home that understands healing takes time — and that some of the most rewarding dogs are the ones who make you earn their trust. If that might be you, please fill out an adoption application: denkaisanctuary.org/adopt Let’s help Lovey (and Angel) find the safe, loving home they deserve. ##2650831##
