APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Tumwater, WA She can chill but when she runs she can run fast! https://youtube.com/shorts/6wRfldyuqes?feature=share TONI is a 1-1/2 yr old female Dachshund mix… mixed with a Terrier best guess. Estimated DOB is 2/1/2023. She weighs 20#. Gets along with all our other dogs and loves to play with them no matter what size. She is not timid or shy with dogs. She will announce strangers and needs slow introductions to new humans. She does not potty in her crate and goes outside, but inside if you have carpeting she sadly appears to like to pee on that so will need to be trained out of that.. She loves her humans once she knows them. She rides well in the car and is okay on the leash. She’s learning new things every day. She came to us from a good Samaritan who found her trying to save her puppies from a neighborhood un-neutered male Husky that was trying to kill the pups. Four pups of the 8 were saved along with her. She will make a great dog for a couple or single person who can understand she needs slow introductions to new people and more human socialization. She is fantastic with all dogs and cats asap. Due to her nervousness with new humans she needs a mellower NO children home. As with most new dogs if you have cats it can take awhile to it all integrate and we have a person who volunteers for us for free you can call any day 930 am till 730 pm, for great advice! We expect her or her puppies to be fine with respectful children. It really depends on the children/parents/parenting. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.

To adopt pls apply. In foster in Tumwater, WA https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ u tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq5ftrTTu9Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jMK5gljN2s This sweet little guy will make someone very happy to have him in your life! He is super friendly just takes a couple of minutes then he is yours! he might lick you lol! looks to us like he is a pug/chi/doxie???? Its rescue that is our best guestimate! What a friendly sweet little dog. He has been very friendly with small or medium sized dogs. There was only one LARGE dog he was afraid of and voiced his fear. It was a male but he's met 60 pound friendly male dogs and been fine. He's only met one dog out of over a dozen at his foster home that would not work with him and it was a large male dog. He can sometimes be leash reactive when on a leash, but its really likely because he knows how small and vulnerable he is at only 11 pounds. He might need some training with that. He does bark some not a lot, to communicate if he hears or sees things when he is outside but when inside is typically very quiet. He is potty trained. He was with children (5-9 yrs old) after being rescued and even was at birthday parties with other children and parents and did fine! He doesn’t have the capability to jump in your lap nor should he with his shorter legs, it would be dangerous for him. However, he does enjoy being on your lap. He will wiggle a lot when you try to carry him, so apparently he isn’t thrilled with being carried. He loves being brushed with those doggie gloves but doesn’t really even shed hair when you do that! Ajax was found as a stray of course unfixed/unchipped. No luck in finding his humans likely he was dumped like millions of pups/dogs/year are in Texas:( Shaynes rescue was emailed. When we realized he was in TX not that far from our rescue partner Pet Central SATX he went to rescue! He is a very sweet nice little dog and in no time he will be your best friend. He would do BEST with super secure fenced yard as he does like to run around. As with all dogs we adopt we ask adopters to continue the socialization in the home and away with dogs/people visiting home and away to keep our socialized dogs well socialized! We are guessing he can be trained with cats, but the foster in Tumwater does not have any so we can’t swear.
