Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sunshine (12 yo) came to K Kids with her older sister Vanessa a few months ago when their momma couldn't take care of them anymore. Unfortunately we lost Vanessa to some serious health issues recently.   Sunshine is a barky sassy dachshund girl. She loves to tell the other dogs in her foster home who the boss is (hint: it's her!) She had a recent dentals and had some major extractions, but that doesn't stop her from thinking she can take on the world, haha. She l oves adventuring in her foster's yard and going for walks. She also love laps and attention. She is very loyal and loving and chill, reliability housebroken and crate trained. Sunshine really likes food and we have to be really careful with her weight.   Sunshine has had 2 IVDD episodes since she's been with us. Both times have been in her neck and both have been painful and have impacted her ability to walk for a period of time. With some meds and rest, she recovered. We can’t guarantee that won’t happen again, but she shouldn’t do a lot of stairs, jumping, etc. That should help prevent reoccurrences. Go to kkidsrescue.org to apply. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Athena and her littermate Akka came to us together, and would probably like to stay together, but we don't think that is necessary.  Athena is a little shy around new people and will make a lot of noise when a visitor comes around, but when we took her to an adoption event, she enjoyed saying hi to all the people who came to say hi to her. Athena does like to climb and perch on things, such as chairs, tables, and counters. Athena might be part cat!!!  Speaking of cats, we aren't sure how they do with them, but they seem to do fine with children, although it might take them a bit to get used to very tiny people.  Athena is crated trained and pee-pad trained and housebroken when kept on a schedule (so she's a dachshund).   Athena doesn't mind other dogs.   Athena's adoption fee will be $300 and she will be fully vetted before she is adopted.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 13, 2024, 4:16 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Akka came to us with his littermate Athena.  They like being together, but we believe they would be fine apart, too.   Akka is shy around new people and will make a lot of noise when a visitor comes around, but when we took him to an adoption event, he enjoyed saying hi to all the people who came to say hi to him.  Akka does like to climb and perch on things, such as chairs, tables, and counters.  Akka and Athena might be part cat!!!  Speaking of cats, we aren't sure how he would do with them, but he seems to do fine with children, although it might take him a bit to get used to very tiny people.  Akka is crated trained and pee-pad trained and housebroken when kept on a schedule (so he's a dachshund).   Akka doesn't mind other dogs, but would probably prefer a home with just one or two other little dogs if he's not with Athena. The adoption fee will be $350 for Akka.  He is up to date on all of his vetting.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 13, 2024, 4:16 pm
