Story

Some people love regular Oreos, and some love the double-stuffed ones…but this particular Oreo is double-stuffed with love! Oreo is an approximately 2.5-year-old, 50-pound female heeler mix. She is a super sweet girl (of course she is with that name!) who lives like she’s on a sugar high (that’s our way of saying she still has a lot of puppy energy). She loves to play and run - especially with other dogs and kids. She loves to play!! She walks around the house with a toy in her mouth, kind of growling, "Come get me." If you're not paying attention to her and she wants to play, she will come, drop the toy in your lap, put her nose close, and look at you with her big eyes like it's playtime! She does great with dogs and kids; however, she’d prefer a home without cats. She also walks pretty well on a leash, is crate-trained, and is housebroken. She listens to commands but is really happiest when she’s cuddling up next to you. Oreo is an owner surrendered due to her owner's health issues. She’d love to find a new family with whom she can share her loving self, especially before the holidays. Story

Sweet little Pancake is just 2 months old and adores love and attention. She loves to be around and play with other dogs. And like all puppies she enjoys playing with toys. Pancake came to us at just around 3 weeks of age. She and her mom Shirley (also available for adoption; looks like a cattle dog mix) were brought to us by a sheriff after their owner was evicted. Their living conditions were deplorable but Pancake (a.k.a. Biscuit) is thriving now that she is with a foster. Pancake will receive her final puppy vaccination on 1/3 and be ready to come to NJ on our next transport, if adopted. DOLLY breed scans to her as Lancashire Heeler/ Australian Kelpie / with a tadd Welsh Corgi. She is 3 years & 4 months old and weighhs 60 lbs. All we know is she is a dollface! DOLLY is victim of her owner having Dementia and going to the nursing home. Sadly, Dolly is in the home alone being cared for by others. We hope to get her adopted quickly or have her moved to an open foster space very soon. Dolly is a very pretty, sweet, loving gal. She is good natured with others and loves being petted and walks. Dolly is fully vetted and ready to find her new loving Family. This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is. Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy. She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance. Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old. She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told. Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl. Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her. We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning. She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them. She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily. Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say. She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE! We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that. Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW! The owner of Arlo, Lainey and 4 other akc registered doxies was living in a rental home with 4 children and the landlord said the dogs had to go. Her mom took them while she was supposed to find another place to live but that did not happen. Her mom had 3 dogs of her own and was overwhelmed so she asked for help. All the dogs are sweet but we took Arlo and Lainey. These two are quite bonded so we are going to try to place them together. They are both spay/neutered, UTD on vaccines and HW negative, They will also be microchipped. In their original home, they were left on a self feeder and I am afraid Arlo overindulged but Lainey was able to keep her figure. They are both so so sweet and cute! They both Love cuddles and kisses! They both seem to be reliably housetrained. Arlo is a red pie bald and Lainey is a black and tan wirehaired doxie. Lainey was born on 9/10/2021 so she is 3 years old, Arlo is 4.
