Story
Meet Finn, a sweet pup rescued from the Bakersfield shelter, where he found himself in a scary situation through no fault of his own. He’s still a baby (DOB 8/23/2023) and quite shy, taking his time to warm up and build trust with new people. However, once he feels comfortable, his lovable personality shines through. Though a bit hesitant around strangers, Finn is gentle and affectionate with those he knows and trusts, making him a wonderful companion for someone patient and loving.
Finn is already neutered, microchipped with AKC, and the rescue has taken care of surgically removing his dewclaws (they were getting caught on his dog bed, etc.) He gets along great with dogs of all ages and sizes, enjoying playful moments with them. Smart and eager to learn, he’s already familiar with the doggy door and is adjusting well to his new surroundings. While he may mark his territory initially, he knows where to do his business and has successfully used potty pads, even for #2! Finn has the most beautiful coloring that’s hard to capture in photos, and he’s athletic and agile. Finn loves to play (and snuggle) with dogs of all ages and sizes! He is very well socialized with other canines and enjoys the company of his dog friends, making him a great playmate. This adorable little guy needs an understanding family who can give him the time he needs to decompress and feel secure. With the right environment, he’ll blossom into a wonderful companion.
