Story
I'm Frida, a young female dog with lots of love to give! I'm a friendly and loyal dog who is always protective and brave when it comes to those I love. My affectionate nature and playful spirit will bring a lot of joy into your life. I'm smart, funny and curious, and I love getting kisses - who doesn't love a pup who loves affection? I'm still a young dog so I have a lot of energy and love adventures, walks, and playing with toys. If you're looking for a loving companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin, I'm the girl for you! I can't wait to meet you and start our life together, I promise to be your loyal companion and best friend.Sincerely, Frida ##2015992##

You can meet your New Best Friend at an Adoption Event near you! Check our events calendar to see the upcoming event dates: https://amazingdogsrescue.org/events All our rescue doggies come with their health record and have received all necessary medical care, which includes (but is not limited to) all vaccines, de-wormer, anti-flea/tick medication, microchip and of course spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for puppies under a year old is $600. Please consider this not as a price you pay for the doggie, but as a (partially tax-deductible) donation to our charity, so we can continue our work of saving 1000+ doggies per year. ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Introducing Brioche!  This sweet little nugget cannot wait to meet her forever family.  Born in early June of 2024, this tiny dachshund/chihuahua mix is just over 8 lbs. of love and joy.  She is a playful puppy who loves to snuggle and keeps herself warm under covers, on your lap, or nestled up with other dogs in the home. She warms up to new people immediately. While she is still growing, she will always be a small pup who happily joins adventures out and about. She doesn’t require long walks but does enjoy being out in the sunshine. Brioche is a bit fearful of young children and their energy so we would reccommend that she be adopted to a home without young children. Brioche is a puppy and is working on potty training and consistently uses potty pads inside while learning. She sleeps through the night but needs to go out immediately when she wakes up    Brioche will need a home with other pups to keep her company, and one where she is not left alone for long periods of time until she grows a little bit and feels more confident.  Her adoption fee is $350.  A refundable training deposit of $100 will be also due upon adoption. Training must be provided in a timely fashion to ensure our pups become the best canine citizens. The training deposit will be refundable within 3 months of the adoption date. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  December 15, 2024, 7:05 pm

Rumi was adopted from the San Diego Humane Society in 2021. He is 11 years old. He has some medical issues and needs allergy shots monthly. Rumi likes short walks. He doesn't like too much attention and likes to be outside. We are looking to rehome him because of his medical needs and his detachment from our family.

Story
Bart is a huge cuddle bug and has been doing great with training. He is estimated to be about 3-4 years old. He loves people and is insanely food motivated, which helps with training. With that in mind, be mindful of him picking stuff off the floor and he should be feed on a schedule (no free /open feeding). I have a busy life and with him being a small guy he needs to go potty more often and I have been unable to fulfill my part in that with my work schedule which is why I need to rehome. He has only had a handful of accidents in the last 4 months but knowing how uncomfortable he is trying to hold it is not fair to him. He needs someone that can take him with them or is home more often.
