Story
Animal Profile: Gazpacho is a 18-month-old approximately 40lb Airedale Terrier mix joining us from our friends at Kauai Humane Society. Gazpacho has been in a caring foster home since April, and has proven to be a friendly, happy guy. Gaz is house and crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs. He can be shy when first meeting new friends, but warms up quickly. He walks well on leash, and is food motivated and eager to please.  Foster Update: Gaz is such a sweet shy guy! He loves the other pups in his foster home and we think will do best with another dog in his adoptive home to continue to build his confidence. He is great in his crate and does the sweetest little happy dance in the morning when it's time to come out of his crate. Gaz takes a bit to warm up to new people, especially men, but is such a sweet boy and worth the extra effort. He loves the 4 and 6 y/o kids in his foster home and is especially fond of cuddling on the couch with them. He is still quite a shy guy and will do best in a quiet home without too much noise and activity. With his confidence continuing to grow, we know he is going to make a perfect addition to one lucky family here in the PNW! We believe Gazpacho will do best in a home with another dog and a fenced yard. We are not considering apartments or busy neighborhoods for him at this time.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was originally transferred from a kill shelter in Hawaii and joined us from Kauai Humane Society rescue partner, arriving to Seattle on Thursday June 13, 2024.
