Story
Boone – ID #18888 – Kennel #300 – Arrived May 10th (Stray) – Airedale Terrier/Border Terrier Mix – Black and Brown – Male – 6 Months Old – 40 lbs (Estimated Adult Weight: 55–70 lbs) – Will Be Neutered Prior to Adoption – Up to Date on Vaccines – Heartworm Negative
Meet Boone, a six-month-old Airedale Terrier/Border Terrier mix who arrived at Cobb Animal Services as a stray on May 10th. He is a stunning black and brown boy with a rich saddle coat, floppy ears, bright eager eyes, and the kind of open, happy puppy face that is impossible not to fall in love with. At 40 pounds and only six months old, Boone has some growing left to do — he is estimated to reach approximately 55 to 70 pounds as an adult.
Boone is cute as can be, sweet, and playful — and he already knows how to sit on command, which is impressive for a puppy his age. He is the kind of dog who is so excited to see you that he wants to jump up and say hello, and who still has a few things to learn about walking politely on a leash. These are completely normal puppy behaviors, and with consistent, positive training he will get there in no time.
Boone is a puppy with everything going for him — good looks, a sweet nature, and an eagerness to please that will make training a joy. He simply needs someone willing to put in the time and patience that every young dog deserves, and in return he will grow into a loyal, magnificent companion.
Boone is heartworm negative, up to date on his vaccines, and will be neutered prior to adoption. He came in as a stray, but whoever he belongs with next is going to be very lucky indeed. If you are ready for the adventure of raising a sweet, playful, beautiful puppy into the dog of your dreams, Boone is ready for you.
