My name is Zinnia, but my friends call me Zinny! I am a 40# petite, 1-1/2 year old Lab X. I am the perfect Pocket Lab pup if you ask me! I may be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I'm as sweet as can be! The puppy in me still learning to trust humans, but I'm incredibly energetic and playful once I feel safe. Oh, and I love to howl - it's my way of expressing myself! I'm ready to find a loving home where I can thrive! I'm a big fan of squeaky toys, and bones - they're just so much fun! My bestest home would be some awesome, active people who love to play with me, while still teaching and training me to be my best self! I adore other dogs, am crate and house-trained, and know plenty of tricks. I would need to have very respectful older kids, and am very curious about cats. Would you want to be mine? ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Zinnia, please fill out an online application at caws.org. Thanks! Story
Kahlo 8 is a 8-month-old cattle dog mix, tri-pod girl that is ready to find her forever home! Kahlo is a shy pup who comes to us from a local tribal reservation where she was discovered with a severe leg injury which required amputation however she has healed up well and is incredibly mobile! Kahlo takes a minute to warm up to new people, but with treats and time she is very sweet and loyal. Her favorite things are playing with her doggy friends and lounging in soft dog beds. She also loves toys, bones, belly rubs, and doing zoomies around the yard. She is house and crate trained, and super smart. She will need a family that can be patient and gentle with her while she continues to learn new things. She is working on walking on a leash and riding in the car and is completely crate trained. Kahlo will do best in a home with a canine companion and a fenced in yard. Kahlo has a lot of love to give and will make a wonderful companion! If you'd like to meet Kahlo, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Story
Have you ever felt SOOOO happy you ran around with your favorite toy, laughing as loud as you could, hugging everyone you came in contact with and just feeling so lucky to be alive?! Well, my soon-to-be best friends, this is how I live every, single day! My name is Amaya, and I'm a 3-year-old, 60-ish pound Lab mix with a zest for life that is unrivaled. I greet each morning with enthusiasm, joy and curiosity. It is impossible to be around me and not feel happier. I haven't had an easy road, and yet I remain playful and full of hope. I LOVE toys, especially those that squeak and those I can shake and tug. I am housebroken and crate trained, and I am good with other dogs, although I'm a bit too playful for older or shy dogs and most cats. I just started basic training, and I'm already rocking most basic commands. I am proving to be super intelligent and eager to please. I am working on impulse control because - hello, have you met many labs? WE LOVE EVERYTHING!!! I am a bit clingy because I've been abandoned a few times, so when I find a human who gives me love and walks, I get attached pretty quickly. I'd love an active human or pack who needs an adventure buddy, a cuddle companion or just a general all-around delightful pup.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Hi, Humans! My name is Lilly, and I'm a 3 year old lab mix who is hoping to find a pack who appreciates my enthusiasm for life - especially squeaky toys! I've had a really rough start to life, but it hasn't dampened my joy or my ability to brighten even the worst day. I was locked up a lot, hit and mistreated so I can be a little shy or skittish sometimes. But I LOVE people and warm up really quickly. I love snuggles SO much! I have lost sight in one eye, so that makes me a little jumpy sometimes, but I do really great and usually no one notices. I am crate trained, but I was locked up a lot so sometimes I cry when I need love or want to play. I love to fetch, and I can be a bit possessive of toys with other dogs. But I'm learning good manners, and I'm eager to please and very smart,I ignore chill cats, but I might chase skittish cats. I need a slow intro to active or 'in your face' dogs. I've lived with other dogs the last two years and got along great. Even though I'm an active girl, I can also chill out and snuggle my people. I'm trust worthy left on my own especially if I have a bone or a chew toy. I have some allergies, but they're addressed through diet. I'd really love an active family who also needs the best snuggles from the sweetest pup! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
My name is Sushi and I’m starting to alert to and come when I hear my name and I always have a smile on my face, though can be shy at times. I have a cute lighter-colored halo on my head that kind of makes me special.I’m fully house trained and I learned to use the doggy door at my foster home so fast you wouldn’t believe it! I’m not yet comfortable with a leash and collar so my foster mom has to catch me first to get them on, and I’m starting to know that when my dog friends and I get into a vehicle it’s to go have lots of fun and I don’t need to be frightened of it! Even though my friends bark I’m very quiet, rarely do I bark. I love to zoom around the yard, play, chew dog toys, sleep in my doggy bed and be snuggled and kissed. Story
I rescued Percy from going to the shelter 5 years ago. He has been an amazing dog. He is loving, cuddly, and energetic. Unfortunately, I had to move and no longer have a backyard. Without having a backyard to explore when I’m gone, he has started having major separation anxiety. He needs a home with a backyard and a loving family to give him cuddles.

Story
Edelweiss is perhaps the best tempered dog I have ever had. She is absolutely wonderful around children. She is turning 5 this year on March. 20th. She had TPLO surgery last year. So she should not run full speed anymore. So, I would not recommend long distance fetching anymore. She is house trained, but she is not great on a leash. She loves the dog park, swimming, and fetching (however she is prone to having another Achilles injury) When I got her, it was Covid and I had time. Unfortunately, I am finding it difficult with my schedule to give her her best dog life. I am giving her away with all her things (Kennel, tansportable soft kennel, outdoor dog house shaped as an igloo and multiple dog beds). To a home that I think could take good care of her. She really is a wonderful dog and would make a wonderful addition to a family, or a home with a big backyard. (I do not have either).

Story
🐾 Meet Pierogi, an incredibly sweet 4-month-old Lab mix puppy who’s currently recovering from a rear leg injury. This mellow girl is a natural snuggle bug — quiet, easy-going, and always ready for affection or playtime. Pierogi is crate trained and perfectly fine being left alone for short periods, sleeping peacefully through the night. 😴 Due to her injury, she struggles with holding her pee but the floors stay clean with regular outdoor breaks. Pierogi has been great with the dog interactions she’s had so far, remaining submission and calm when others correct or set boundaries. She is also good around cats. She likes to sniff and chase them a little but just wants to play and learns to leave them alone if they want to be left alone. She has been around teenagers and is great with kids but needs to be redirected a little when she wants to play bite to play with her toys. 💞 Pierogi is ready for a forever family who can continue her healing journey and shower her with the love she deserves. Could you be the one to make her dreams come true?
