Story
Meet Ollie! This handsome, high energy guy would do AMAZING in a home with a jogger or someone who wants to pursue agility, fast cat, and trick titles. He is a nut about the slat mill, and racing around in wide open spaces. He is e-collar trained and comes with an off-leash recall, he walks nicely on leash (no pulling), and he is happy to stay put where and when you tell him. He has some competition obedience and scentwork skills on him if that is an avenue you’d like to pursue. Great with all animals, great with people (a little excitable if his energy needs haven’t been met), super cuddly, and would thrive in a home who needs a best bud. Ollie is a perfect house dog once his energy needs have been met within the last 24 hours. Again, he’s a high energy boy and will need an outlet. A yard and a playmate is probably not enough, but an avid jogger or someone who loves training and fast paced sports would be a perfect home Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 26, 2025, 3:21 pm

Story
Pork chop is the cutest little fella. He is full of energy. He is really smart. We have taught him to sit and lay down. He is very good motivated and will do just about anything for a treat. He’s doing better with potty training. He will still have occasional accidents overnight. This did not happen while he was inside our home tho. Just in his kennel out in the shop. We could no longer keep him inside as he is too rough with cats. So we recommend a home with no cats. He’s still learning how to nicely play with other dogs. He is just too friendly and tries to mount them. We have not tested him with small dogs yet. He needs a family that will give him lots of exercise as he’s got lots of puppy energy. He’s always on the go sniffing everything out. He is not. He is usually pretty polite and does not jump up on us. He is vocal and barks while in his kennel. Pork chop does well with kids. My teenagers all enjoy his energy and play with him outside throwing toys around for him. He loves attention and is a good snuggler. He did well in our house and did not chew up anything. I have given him a couple toys in his kennel and he does not chew on them. In the outdoor kennel he is well behaved and just barks and runs the fences with the other dogs. He’s a very sweet boy Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 30, 2024, 12:22 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi new friends, Amory here!     I'm a nine-year-old lab/pit mix. I may be considered "older", but you'd never know it when meeting me. I love walks around the neighborhood, car rides, and going to new places...all the things! As long as I'm with my people, I'm happy. I also LOVE to snuggle. Movie time is my favorite, and if I can snuggle up next to you and sleep, I’m in heaven!    I’m crate trained, house trained, and I'm a pro with the doggy door. My foster parents say that after a couple of weeks of adjusting, I'll be just fine left out in my new home while my family is away. I just snuggle up on the couch or a dog bed for a nice nap until my people return.     I’m good with other dogs and really love little dogs. I will even play tug with other dogs or run around the yard to play when they want. I'm pretty content doing whatever the other dogs in the house enjoy! Oh, and did I mention that I love kids? I think they're so fun! My foster mom says I'm too interested in cats and should probably live without them, but otherwise, I'm as close to perfect as they come!    As I mentioned, I’m in great health for my age and like other senior dogs, I just need a joint supplement to keep my body in good shape. If you could give a sweet senior girl a nice, cozy place to retire, a few toys and bones, and so much love, please apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:51 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Do you like dogs, but also enjoy personal space? Do you like to play with your dog, but also like when they entertain themselves? Are you looking for a dog with a big personality? That’s me!!    I’m  Perigee, I’m just over 1 year old and weigh in around 40 lbs. I have beautiful brindle coloring and am listed as a lab mix, but it’s really anyone’s guess. But I’m fully grown now and I’m a good medium size dog, perfect for traveling, playing or laying about the house!   My foster mom calls me a cat-dog because I’m really not big on cuddling, I like to bat balls around the house, and I love a good cozy sleeping spot! Although being part cat doesn’t make me the best with other cats, but I can live with them if the cat is dog smart. I'm a bit of a drama queen and make all sorts of grumbles, sighs and other silly noises to let you know how I feel about things. I do bark sometimes as well, but not a ton. I'm silly and goofy sometimes, and just a fun guy to know.   I’m good with people and love to try and play with other dogs. I’m especially good with kids, even little kids, as I’m gentle and don’t mind their antics. Ironically though, I don’t like puppies, they make me grumpy. I’m fantastic at outings as I’m not reactive and do well in most environments. I’m also a pro at car rides!    I’m 100% great in the house, never have any accidents. I am constantly on the lookout for any spare food though.  I love stuffed toys and playing fetch. I sleep well in my crate at night and while you are away. My foster things I would be an easy dog to take just about anywhere and do anything!   What’s the catch? I take a little more care than the average dog.    I have Mega Espophogis. That means I have to eat in a special chair (or just propped up somewhere, but the special chair helps) because my esophagus doesn't do it's job (lazy!) and I need gravity to help make sure my food gets to my stomach - otherwise I will regurgitate. The chair and the right food (dehydrated food is my fav right now) makes all the difference! I also take a couple of pills daily. My foster says it takes her about 45 minutes for each meal, but about 30 minutes of that is just me taking a nap in my chair while the food settles. She has 2 young kids and so far the feedings have not been a burden, and kids love to help!   I have been with Rescue Rovers since I was a puppy and my medications and feeding routine are very well managed. My foster will happily provide detailed instructions to make the transition easy! See my videos for what it looks like to prep my food and meds.    Do you think you could be the family I've been waiting for? Apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication!
