Story
Moose was adopted earlier this week and was brought back because their dog wasn’t getting along with Moose. We are still trying to find his permanent new home. New home cannot have cats. He has high anxiety around cats. He will chase and bark at cats. His precious adopter mentioned they didn’t do a home introduction phase. They immediately took him home and introduced them to their newly adopted dog. Their dog pinned him down and was loudly barking at him. Later on that night their dog kept taking his bone he brought for comfort. Moose barked at her and chased her. They said he may have been aggressive. When asked about being aggressive the lady said she didn’t feel he was aggressive and they thought he was very sweet and mellow dog. They also said their female dog was in the crate for awhile and Moose would lay by her crate. After this experience we would like an experienced dog adopter. Call or text with any questions. I check my email once a week.

Story
Magnus is a big, loving goof. He likes napping, but needs his daily outing or he goes a bit stir-crazy. He is very good on-leash, and off-leash with a beeper. He knows commands: sit, down, stay, shake, circle, and heel. We have just started practicing store work at places that allow dogs like Cal Ranch. He is a lab/mastiff/hound mix. 3 years old. We currently live with one female dog, and one male dog, and a cat. He likes to chase the cat sometimes, but for the most part can live semi-harmoniously with it. He does best with the female dog as he is an alpha and sometimes gets too rowdy with the male dog. I would like him to go to a house without any other pets, or only female dogs. The most important aspect is that he goes to a loving family that will make time for him. I am heart-broken to be parting with him, but I recently took a job that I have been contemplating for months now and will make me travel 80% of the time and will not be able to care for him as he deserves.

Meet Anbu, a lovable 6-year-old pup from Utah, who brings his big lap dog energy and a whole lot of love to every day. He’s a little on the anxious side but loves spending time with his family, snuggling up close whenever he can. No lap is safe when Anbu is around! He’s got a soft spot for his stuffed animals, which he carries around like they’re his little buddies. He absolutely loves people and other dogs and would thrive in a home where he can be part of the action. Mellow is house-trained with no accidents, does great when left alone, and is very well-mannered. He’s obedient, respectful in the home, doesn’t counter surf, and is a total gentleman. At night, he’s perfectly happy sleeping on the floor and settles in with no issues. This playful boy is all about toys — balls, frisbees, plush toys, tug, and (did we mention?) balls! Fetch is one of his favorite games, and he’s always ready for playtime. He also rides great in the car, making him an awesome adventure buddy. Mellow would LOVE a home where he can get attention, play, and be included as part of the family. Ava is a happy, easy going dog. She is playful and loves to run. I got her a few years ago from the animal shelter and now my work schedule needs me to travel and I am sadly having to rehome her. She’s great playing with other dogs and will play for hours when given the opportunity. She loves long walks and treats. She doesn’t like to be left alone, but can be for several hours. She’s not a fan of being in the crate when she is alone at home. She will stay in her crate. She is great with kids, and would love to be part of an active family.

Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles including cancer. He now lives as a proud, playful tripod.  Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he was treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  He has since completed his treatment. He's Texas-tough and full of heart! If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jackson is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy!
