Story

Noche was born December 18th, 2020. He loves to play fetch and cuddle. I adopted him from shelter at 4 months (May of 2021). Noche was put up for adoption by his first family because he “snapped at their toddler.” Unknown if skin was broken during said incident. I have spent hundreds of hours training him and is he on a strict medication schedule due to behavioral issues/anxiety. Noche’s meds: 300 mg total Trazodone per day - 150mg AM& PM. Prozac 30 mg per day total - morning only (these medications are especially necessary because of living with another dog). I lived with Noche alone in apartment until April 2022 and then we moved in with my husband and his dog Axle (80 lb pit bull/pointer mix). After a couple of minor fights (small but deep cuts on both dogs faces) Axle chose the high road and will not react to Noche no matter how much Noche nips/chews on Axle’s ears and ankles. To help relieve Axle we have relied on increasing medication. Now travel jobs require we re-home Noche.

Benji is a 2yr old, male Lab/Husky mix. He is a handsome, goofy guy! He will steal your heart with his huge underbite! He is a huge cuddle bug that loves to just be with his human. Cuddling on the couch with his human & blanket is his favorite thing to do! Dog social & loves to play! Toys & chew bones are a must for this guy. Housebroke, leash & crate trained. Benji was a two time shelter inmate before arriving to us. He is now living his best life in a foster home. . Trixie is a fun, 11-month-old, 45 lbs, lab/shepherd/collie mix (best guess). She has never met a stranger - human, dog, or otherwise. She is a kind, curious, and loving dog. She is proving herself to be quite intelligent too. Her foster has taught her a lot of useful tools that will make her an excellent pet: she doesn't jump up on you, she sits by the front door so you can exit easily, she comes when she is called, and she is clicker trained. We believe she would thrive in a home with another playful dog. At the dog park, she was friendly, easy-going, and accommodating to all the dogs she met there. She has excellent meet-and-greet behaviors. Her cat history is unknown, but we think with a slow introduction with a dog-savvy cat, it would be okay. Update Iris was recently diagnosed w liver disease. She is on daily meds and needs someone that understands we don’t know how long she has and I want her to have a home of her own. I spent $1400 at vet she was hospitalized for a week and is now eating and taking her meds. Iris is a beautiful girl. She is very anxious in the car the few times we have had her in it. So any new owner needs to take that into consideration that it will take time for her to get use to the car. She is good w other dogs and cats s fine w kids. Volunteer Notes:- dog friendly, Nala is his play yard buddy- he`s a puppy with puppy energy. Very jumpy when he saw snacks. Will try to snatch them if you give him a chance- adoption return for no home- cutest puppy boy is about knee high on me- easy to walk, keeps some tension on the leash, he was excited to sniff ALL the things- he is starting to learn `sit` and will if you insist in order to get treats- he takes treats nicely when you give them to him.- absolutely adorable!
