Story

Cleo was picked up as a stray and not claimed. She is nervous at first and does seek comfort in who she knows. Once she is comfortable, she is a love bug that enjoys scratches, and she does think she is the perfect size for a lap. Cleo is not potty trained and can make quite the mess if she's left alone too long. She does good in a crate but will break out if left in there for too long. Her foster stated she did not tear anything up while out of her crate, but did use the bathroom while they were away. Cleo is dog friendly, but we always recommend a meet and greet with any current household dog(s). While at a foster's home she would not defend her food if the other dog went to eat it, so she may need to be fed separately so she can eat. Cleo sniffed at the kittens in the cat room and continued on her way so she may be cat friendly. She does pull a little when first on the leash, but once she is settled she does good. She loves to bark when not receiving any attention. She doesn't particularly like being groomed. Cleo is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention. Story

Xavier was picked up at the City Park here in Stephenville and was never reclaimed. He is a very nervous boy but does like receiving attention. While walking on a leash, he does not like going through doorways or kennel doors but does fine once past them. He does need some assistance to get into crates but has done fine once in them. He does try to squeeze past us when we open a kennel or crate door, so he will probably bolt if given the chance. He does shake his head a lot however we have not noticed anything wrong with his ears. He does fine with our shelter dogs, but a meet and greet is always highly recommended with any current household dogs. He likes to stay at your feet when he is outside and is a very patient dog. He does know "sit" and partially "lay". Xavier is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, de-wormed, heartworm negative and on prevention. All adoptions are first come first serve the day of availability. ECHS does not reserve adoptable animals for the public. These two were found in Stephenville and never reclaimed. They are both still skittish with humans but have gotten better since being here. Kimber is timider than Kentucky. She is definitely not potty trained and goes in the kennel and crate. She loves toys. She will need to be fed separately if there are any other animals in the house as she is highly food aggressive with her sister. Kimber has received 2 of her 3 DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations, a microchip, and de-wormer. A spay appointment will be set up at the time of adoption. During her spay she will receive her rabies vaccine.
