Story
Meet Nico!Nico is a 1-year-old Labrador mix who came to the shelter with his brother after growing up on rural acreage. He’s a very sweet boy, but more timid and unsure in new situations. The world feels a little overwhelming for Nico right now, and he’s still learning things like walking on a leash and adjusting to everyday sights and sounds. He’ll need a calm, patient adopter who can go slow and help him build confidence step by step. With patience and love, watching Nico come out of his shell will be incredibly rewarding.

Story
Introducing Ultimate Good Brisket Boy—yes, that is his full government name, and yes, he lives up to every single word of it.At 5 years old, this Labrador Retriever mix has perfected the art of being the ultimate good boy. We’re talking excellent leash manners, polite gentleman behavior, quiet composure, and a gentle, easygoing personality that makes him a dream to handle. Basically, if “good boy” were an Olympic sport, he’d already have the gold medal (and probably thank the judges afterward). He’s been out and about at adoption events and Dog Day Out adventures, and each time he’s proven himself to be a total star—cool, confident, and soaking up attention like the handsome celebrity he clearly is.And let’s not overlook the obvious: this boy is very good-looking. Like, “people stop mid-sentence to admire him” good-looking.Ultimate Good Brisket Boy is ready to bring his top-tier manners, sweet nature, and slightly ridiculous name into a forever home. All he asks in return? A comfy place to nap, some good walks, and maybe the occasional compliment (he’s earned it).10/10. Certified ultimate good boy.

Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Story
Sharon’s story isn’t the easiest—but it’s far from over.At just 1 year old and 20 pounds, this Retriever mix has already shown how resilient she is. After being hit by a car, Sharon is now on the road to recovery and will need an FHO surgery to help her back leg heal properly. Despite everything she’s been through, she continues to show quiet strength every day.During her time in a foster home, Sharon started off a little fearful, but with patience and consistency, she began to settle in and grow more confident with each passing day. One thing that really helped her come out of her shell? Another dog. Sharon absolutely loves canine companionship and seems to gain confidence from having a dog friend by her side. She’s still recovering and taking things slow, but she’s already showing us that she wants to trust, to feel safe, and to belong.Sharon would do best in a patient, understanding home—ideally with another confident dog to help guide her—where she can continue healing both physically and emotionally. She’s been through a lot, but with the right support, Sharon has such a bright future ahead of her.

Story
Rufus (formerly Jaelen) is back and ready to find his forever adventure buddy! This 6-year-old Retriever mix spent a year and a half in a loving home, where he proved himself to be a smart, fun, and loyal companion. What Rufus loves:• Car rides with the windows down• Long walks, hikes, and even runs• Chew toys galore• Showing off his tricks — sit, down, come, and paw! He’s house-trained, independent, and always up for an outdoor adventure. He’s got a little mischievous streak (trash can raider alert), but that’s part of his charm.Rufus did well with the family dog in his previous home, though he can be selective with unfamiliar dogs. A meet-and-greet is recommended for any future dog siblings. He will chase outdoor cats, birds, and wildlife — so a secure backyard and attentive handler are a plus. He can get vocal when he’s excited or wants attention, especially in the kennel, but he settles well in a home environment.Rufus is the perfect match for an active adopter who wants a loyal sidekick to explore the world with. Come meet Rufus and see if he’s the companion you’ve been searching for!
