Story
Meet Apollo! Apollo is a handsome 10-year-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 60 pounds, who is ready to spend his golden years in a loving forever home. He was recently surrendered to Rockwall Adoption Center due to unexpected life changes in his previous family, and he's now hoping for a fresh start. According to his former family, Apollo is friendly with both people and other dogs and enjoys being part of the family. He loves going for walks, spending quality time with his people, and is always happy to settle in for a relaxing afternoon nap. Apollo would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, easygoing friend to share their days with. Apollo's adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his basic annual boosters, and heartworm negative. He does have some lumps and bumps that after examined have been determined to be fatty and non-life threating. If you're interested in giving Apollo a loving home to enjoy his senior years, please submit an adoption application online at: ?? https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Meet Popeye &#194&#150 The Sailor of Snuggles & Zoomies Ahoy there! I'm Popeye, an 11-month-old Lab/Collie mix weighing about 41 lbs, and I'm ready to sail straight into your heart. I was found by the police on 6/18/25 after being left overnight in front of Rockwall Adoption Center, but even with a rough start, I've kept my happy spirit and playful charm. I'm a fun-loving, energetic boy who lives for a good game of chase, a long walk, and then a well-earned nap (preferably somewhere soft and close to my people). I walk nicely on a leash, appear to be crate trained, and with a little continued training, I'll be an absolute star student. I'm the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet, laid-back cuddle buddy. I tend to do best with female dogs, and a meet and greet is always encouraged to make sure we're a good match. After waiting 212 days as of 01/17/26, I've officially earned Diamond Dog status, which means my adoption fee is just $75. I come neutered, microchipped, up to date on rabies and boosters, and heartworm negative&#194&#151ready to go home and start my next adventure. If you're looking for a loyal, goofy, and lovable companion who will keep life fun and full of tail wags, I might just be your guy. Apply to meet me here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ The crew at RAC will be in touch with next steps once your application is received. All aboard for a lifetime of love with Popeye!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. Story
Meet Scar &#194&#150 A Diamond Dog Ready for His Forever Home Hi there! I'm Scar, a 1-year-old Lab/Pit mix with a big smile, a loving heart, and just a touch of adventure in my soul. I originally came to the shelter after my curiosity got the best of me and I went exploring to visit the farm animals next door (they looked friendly, okay?). Now I'm ready to settle down and put all that energy into being someone's loyal, happy companion. These days, I'm confident, social, and full of love. I enjoy people and don't take long to show my affectionate side. I've lived with my sibling Draco my whole life, so I'm used to having another dog around and would love a canine companion. I do well with female dogs and tend to prefer smaller male friends, and as always, a meet and greet is the best way to make sure everyone is a good match. According to my previous family, I also did well with cats and children, making me a great candidate for a fun, active household that's ready for a young dog with a big heart. I've now been waiting 90 days as of February 10, 2026, to find my forever family, which officially makes me a Diamond Dog! That means my adoption fee is now only $75. Hopefully my perfect family finds me soon! I'm neutered, microchipped, up to date on my core vaccinations including rabies, and heartworm negative &#194&#151 all included in my adoption. If you're looking for a sweet, friendly, adventure-loving pup who's ready to trade farm field trips for family life and couch cuddles, I'd love to meet you. Apply to adopt me here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ I'm ready to shine in a forever home of my own.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hercules is a courtesy post and not a SHARe dog.  Hercules does great with dogs, cats, and larger kids. He probably wouldn't do good in a home with small kids as he likes to jump and may knock them over.  August 31, 2025, 9:52 pm

Story
Scarlett is a six month old female black lab. We privately adopted her a month and a half back from a family who couldnt keep her due to owner pregnancy, to be a companion for our special needs child. We have an older dog at home, which is not tolerating her. Wanting to play all the time. Worried about the puppy being safe, we have chosen to find a new home for Scarlett. Scarlett is crate trained, appears to be house broken( although she is not allowed to roam the house without supervision), up-to-date on vaccines, had normal blood work and exam, and it's an on heartworm prevention. She still has puppy behavior and is rambunctious and very sweet.
