Story
🤴 Duke is an awesome big boy! We just love this guy's personality. He's a very happy and sweet boy, and he would love to find a family of his very own. Duke does great with other dogs - once he's properly introduced and given time to adjust. It took him 2-3 weeks to get along with his furry foster sister, and now, they're best friends. Duke is wonderful with all people and is a big goofball who will bring a bright ray of sunshine to your home. He's well-behaved, crate trained, and housebroken. Duke takes Apoquel daily for skin allergies, and he is currently eating a prescription diet for a sensitive tummy. Duke loves walkies, and he loves to try to chase bunnies (so kitties probably aren't a great fit for him). He enjoys playing fetch and running around his yard. He is a big, strong boy and does well on the leash most of the time...but, he can pull hard when something catches his eye or he's excited. Duke is an expert snuggler, and he loves big, soft beds, couches, etc. He'd love to be your best friend. Story
I am a smart, social, endearing Chocolate princess. I’m English and while some might call me fat (okay I did get a little carried away with the free feeding) I am a sturdy gal just like my breeding specifies.  I am great in the house, know all of those silly commands humans like, and will be as happy by your side watching Chicago Fire as heading for an outing.  I love other dogs, going from walks and rides and have been forever banished from soft woobie toys (but all the tough ones are perfect).  I would love a family of my own soon! retrieveafriend.org/adopt    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:42 pm

Story
Bear is a big Ol’AKC Chocolate Lab. He quickly fell into the routine at his foster home, acting as though he had been here his whole life. Bear loves to be around people and has not met a stranger. At 120 pounds, Bear will need a strict diet to help him slim down. He likes to run with the foster dogs in his house and tries to walk nicely on a leash. He will need more practice with leash walking but is eager to please. Bear likes chew toys, but he is a hearty chewer, so they need to be tough, Bear-sized ones. He is a big, happy love, past all the puppy shenanigans, and ready to be your new best friend.  While Bear has a history of being good with children. We suggest older, responsible children due to his size and the ability to bump into a small child and knock them down inadvertently  Ask to meet me: retrieveafriend.org/adoptVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:42 pm

Story
Hi there, I’m Thorpe! I’m a happy boy, but I just lost my prior TSBR adoptive mom because she passed away. I have loved her for most of my life, and we had a great time together. I kept her company and was by her side through the tough times. My friends at TSBR promised me I could have someone new to love me just like she did. I’m a fast learner and do my best to be easy to love. I love dog friends and people just alike. I’m over all those youngster antics so I can enjoy the home. I would love a family who will take me for walks and adventures. So, if you like me (and everyone does), let the really great folks at TSBR know so we can meet. Your soon-to-be BFF, Thorpe.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:42 pm
