Story
Nebo’s my name, playing is my game! I live with lots of other dogs and I love to play with whoever will play with me. I am good at keeping up with the big kids or being less rough for the little ones. I am a very high energy guy so I can wear out a lot of my buddies and still have energy leftover. I will chase cats if they want but most of them don't want to be bothered by me. My favorite is being with people. I have a want-to-please personality. I love it when my foster parents take me to PetsMart and I get attention there. I love people of all sizes and ages but my rescue friends say I'm too active for some people. I have good house manners and can even be in a crate if I have to be. I’m a Lab / Cattle Dog mix, weigh about 55 pounds, and my birthday is 3/8/14. Will you be my forever playmate?Nebo is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, neutered and on heart worm and flea/tick preventatives. The first step in our adoption process for this handsome boy is to submit your application which is available online at hillcrestanimalrescue.org. Yellow labDougie is a lovely large male dog. He’s an older adult but still has plenty of energy. He is very gentle with kids and humans and gets along with most dogs but has not been around cats. He tends to have the calming influence of a Lab on a household. He should not be put into a household with another alpha male dog. He is protective of his family and home and would be great for a family looking for a dog for safety reasons. Dougie will make a fantastic dog for any family. He is housetrained and fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. His vet records will be turned over to his adoptive parent(s). He is ready to find his forever home!

Story
Scout was rescued from CCAS 09-06-2024 after a plea was sent out by the shelter. Scout was found as a stray in Anna. Scout is a 12-week-old 32-pound as of 10-28-2024 male Lab/Pry Mix. Scout is current on vaccines, rabies, dewormed, capstar, neutered and micro chipped. Scout is a typical playful puppy with boundaries to learn. Jumping and nipping are our current behaviors we are working on. He did learn to climb up and down the stairs last week! Scout is crate trained and working on house training. Plays well with other dogs in the home. He has been working on his leash training and has almost mastered it. A home with yard for Scout to run around and play ball and tug of war. Scout would do best in a home with older children due to his puppy behavior. No apartment dwelling. Adoption fee is 325.00.  Est. weight full grown 90 pounds of LOVE FLUF and FUN     We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Scooby was born 8/14/2021. A family friends dogs had a litter and she gifted Scooby to my son. Scooby is kennel trained and house trained. We always have friends, family, kids and at times new people to our social group; and Scooby is great. He is used to seeing people. He will alert if he hears someone he does not know, at the door. At this time, my son has been struggling with allergies, which our doctor recommended us to start making some changes in our home. Please take care of Scooby. We love him but cannot keep him anymore.

Story
This sweet adorable boy is making progress. We are so proud of he and his brother; they have had a long road but are learning life can be good to them. He is a petite dog, just the perfect size. He absolutely adores being outside. He loves to run and spin. He comes to the window when he is ready to come back inside. He is very sweet and quiet, does not make a lot of noise and loves his chew toys so that is a must! He is an overall sweetheart once he knows he is safe and feels comfortable. Bullwinkle came to us shy and timid. He will need someone who is patient and willing to help him with his insecurities; while he is making strides he will still need patience and time to acclimate. He will do best in a home with another dog that will help him build his confidence. He is about 35-45 lbs, almost 2 years old, loves salami, and his chew toys. He will need a home with a backyard since he is shy and the freedom of a yard allows him more time to come out of his shell. Older children who understand the need to go slow with him are recommended. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Miss Melly is a beautiful golden lab with soft eyes and happy demeanor. She is 6 years old and has been overlooked for a long time. She is playful, loving and very food motivated. She will need a fenced yard and no young kiddos. Melly is someone who deserves love, patience and will actively establish safety for her. We're looking for an adopter with a heart for Melly. She loves to give kisses! A quick learner and knows basic commands and love treats! She likes to go in her crate even with the door open! Melly is a little unsure of new people, usually men and needs slow intros with dogs. She has shown that with true decompression and slow intros she can get along great with another dog. Story
'Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be' - Robert Browning Amora is a sweetheart with a heart full of love and just the right amount of senior dog energy. She enjoys walking around the neighborhood just as much as she loves staying indoors sleeping on the couch. She loves people, food, and naps...in no particular order. While Amora is crate trained, her laid-back personality doesn't really require it. This love bug is looking for a forever home where she can thrive as the only four-legged family member. In return, she offers a lifetime of tail wags, kisses, and cozy cuddling sessions. She is such a sweet soul. She happily will jump up beside you and press her little body close for pets and loving. She is super sweet, super calm and always ready for belly rubs. She seems to have some lab, terrier and dachshund as she has a long body and is a low rider. Amora is knee-high and 'knee-din' a home that will love her furever. She loves her stuffies and anything that squeaks. She is a sweet girl and loves her humans. This sweet momma was being given away for free with her 9 puppies. We always hate to see that and while we can't always do anything we were able to wrangle enough fosters to save this little family. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Introducing Coco Mann, a handsome 5-year-old boy weighing in at 76 pounds. Coco may be a little nervous when meeting new people, but he truly thrives in the company of someone who is home often or has another dog companion. We have found that apartment living may not be the best fit for him, as he benefits from having someone around to spend time with. Coco's journey began when he was found in the outside kennels of the Fort Worth shelter during a time when they were asking dogs to be moved due to frigid temps. Recognizing the need for immediate help, we took him into our boarding facility for temporary housing. However, after seeing what a wonderful dog he is, we couldn't bear to send him back to the shelter. With open hearts, we made the decision to bring Coco into our rescue, where he now awaits his forever home. Since arriving in our rescue, Coco has shown us what a great dog he is. Currently living in a foster home with other dogs, Coco may feel a bit nervous around little children due to their fast movements. However, in new settings, his disposition is adorable, submissive, and happy. With time and patience, he continues to gain confidence and is now thriving on the leash. Walking beside you, Coco has become quite the pro! Coco is a couch potato by nature, but when it's playtime, he will entertain himself endlessly with a toy. He loves tossing it up in the air and engaging in playful antics. Additionally, he has shown good compatibility with cats, although proper introductions are highly recommended as each cat's personality is unique. While we're uncertain about how Coco would do with young children due to his nervous nature, we believe he would be just fine with bigger kids over the age of five. His loving and good-looking demeanor makes him an ideal companion for a family ready to give him the chance he deserves. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate buddy, Coco is waiting to steal your heart. Don't hesitate to reach out and give this deserving pup a forever home filled with love and understanding. #AdoptCocoMann #RescueDog #ForeverHomeNeeded All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Essie (Esperanza) is getting pretty good at sit, as long as you have treats. We're practicing with distractions present currently. She does the cutest little paw lift when she sits. She is such a good sweet smart loving perfect pal. And absolutely beautiful!!! She is 3 years old, 55 pounds. House and kennel trained. LOVES other dogs. Enjoys snuggles, belly rubs, and splashing in the pool. She has a rough and tumble play style and loves wrestling with our youngest. She's not crazy high energy herself, but she matches him well when playing. Anyone have an energetic dog who could use a friend? She could be the perfect playmate! Beautiful lab living in the shelter with her puppies. She has given all she has to her puppies and now it's time for her to shine. She is calm, quiet and patient. She's very sweet, completely house-trained, crate-trained, very food motivated, and loves other dogs (she's pretty submissive). Can be timid with new people, unknown with children and cats. Around 55 pounds. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
This Precious Girl is Ruby because she is a real jewel! Ruby was not being adequately cared for by her owners and was found roaming at large, the owners were contacted but they decided they were not in a position to keep a pet - they were keeping her chained to a car when she was not roaming the neighborhood. Finders kept her and planned to have her spayed, but it wasn't achieved quickly enough to prevent a litter of pups. Overwhelmed they reached out for help from LHS.  With nutritious food and a loving foster home, she has filled out and looks healthier. She is friendly and has a sweet pleasant personality. She takes treats and will sit for them, taking them politely. Ruby has a moderate activity level and enjoys scouting out all the interesting scents in the yard and stretching her legs in between naps. She walks well on a leash. She is happy for love and snuggles and appreciates loving attention. Ruby is waiting to find a better home this time around with people who will cherish and love her, giving her what she needs to have a happy, healthy life with plenty of TLC, exercise, playtime and enrichment. And it goes without saying that she wants to live inside with her people in order to be an integral part of the family circle. Will you please help her to realize that dream home?   Ruby is the absolute sweetest doggie, great with dogs, cats and kids of all shapes and sizes. She is housebroken and can be trusted to have free roam of the house.  She is a Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees Mix weighing about 48 pounds and about 2 1/2 years old. Those EARS are Adorable!&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Ruby is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She tested positive for heartworms and received a Proheart12 injection (slow kill method).
