Story
BARKLEY is a real sweetheart. He is a delightful Texas Blend, maybe with a small Lab mix. His two siblings and himself came to us as puppies but they both are long adopted. Somehow, Barkley got overlooked and is now past the “cute and small puppy” stage. However, he still loves to play with other puppies and run around with toys in his mouth. His home is on the ranchette with several other dog friends; a home with a dog buddy would be best to show him doggie ways and to model joy/things to be excited about – like walks are fun and for sniffing and show him how to do things . He is super smart, listens well, and loves to cuddle on you. He is food and treat motivated, so will be easily trainable; he will need weighted bowl so that he can eat in a way that is he comfortable/familiar with. He likes having a crate/den area easily accessible so he could feel secure. He will need housetraining reinforcement. It is Barkley’s turn to get out of foster care. He really belongs in a loving home, with his forever family. Can you have it in your heart to give him one soon please? Barkley spent a month of training at Bobbi Colorado’s Canine Camp. Currently, he is undergoing a month-long refresher course. We all know that this kind of training does not come cheap. We invested in this training, as we do not wish for him to grow up in a "shelter" environment forever. If you are an active family who loves walks, runs, or just the outdoors, Barkley is the one for you all. Go to our website for more pictures of Barkley. We require a home in the Austin metro area with a privacy fenced yard, and children over 8. Barkley’s adoption fee of $250.00 covers his vet exam, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test, dewormer, heart worm preventative, neuter procedure, and microchip.

Willow is a wonderful family dog. She was born in October of 2021. I feel so bad for her because we are constantly busy the last year and she deserves better attention. She is house trained, kennel trained, potty trained and love a good game of fetch. Great with children and other dogs. She’s never met a cat before. Looking for someone who can give her all the love she deserves!

Story
Meet Luke, the happy-go-lucky pup with a smile that'll brighten your day! This smart and alert guy is always up for a good time and is quick to learn new tricks. At 8 months old, he's a young 'un with plenty of puppy energy and a keen mind to keep you on your toes. But don't let that fool you, he's also a champ at using the doggy door and knows how to wait patiently for dinner like a true gentleman. Luke is a people-lover and is always happiest when he's hanging out with his humans, giving them all the love and attention they could ask for. He's also a social butterfly when it comes to his furry friends and gets along great with other dogs. So, if you're looking for a confident and friendly addition to your family, Luke is your guy! He's ready to learn, love, run and grow with you, and can't wait to find his forever home. So, if you're based in the Austin, why not come and meet this fella? He's sure to wag his way into your heart! Please contact us: fureverfriendsandrescue@gmail.com

Story
Kevin has been through more in his short life than any dog ever should, and he needs a safe place immediately. Kevin is a young boy who originally came into care after being hit by a car. His left elbow was so severely damaged that his front leg had to be amputated to save him from constant pain. Even after everything, he has remained the sweetest, most trusting pup. Last week, he was surrendered again through no fault of his own. There is a lot of instability around his previous home, and for Kevin’s safety we are urgently trying to move him out of the Childress area and into a stable, loving environment. About Kevin: • 10 months old • 37 lbs • Black and white pittie mix • Neutered and fully vaccinated (DAPPL, Rabies, Bordetella) • Heartworm negative • Treated for fleas/ticks and fully dewormed • Great with dogs and people • Sweet, resilient, and ready for a fresh start Kevin has had a rough life, but you would never know it from his gentle spirit. He just wants someone to love him and give him a safe space to land. We are urgently searching for a foster or foster-to-adopt home. He can be transported anywhere for the right family or foster. Please message us if you can open your home to Kevin or want more information. This boy deserves stability, love, and a future brighter than his past. Story
Boston was rehomed to me in January of this year. My friend couldn’t take her with to the state she was moving to. I decided to take Boston in. Late October I started to have a lot of issues in my personal life. Those said issues costed me my job, and apartment. Boston had to suffer the consequences of my issues. She actually made my life way better, and it hurts to rehome her again. I am trying to just do what’s best for her because now she isn’t able to be inside with me like we used to be in my apartment. Now that I’m living back home with my mother. She is a sweetheart, and deserves all the love she can get.

Story
•Potty-trained •Crate-trained •Good with dogs •Medium energy Logan is the sweetest and most loyal boy looking for a family to love him forever. He has an adorable silly side. He is about 4 years old and 45 lbs. Logan loves other dogs! He especially enjoys to play with dogs that are similar size to him (medium & large) but he does great with smaller dogs too. Dogs help Logan feel safer and more confident in a home setting, so he is hoping for a home that has another dog to be his buddy and companion. Because of Logan's past life before rescue, he can be a bit shy when first meeting new humans. But he adjusts quickly with a little love and patience (and treats!) He does great on car rides and enjoys going to work with his foster mom (he's a very hard worker) His favorite activity is fetch and he will gently return his squeaky toy for you to throw. He could play fetch literally all day long. He also LOVES water and enjoys swimming in his foster's pool. He confidently jumps in the pool to fetch his toys. Logan shows his gratitude and will quite literally love you forever if you give him a chance.
