Story
Are you looking for a dog but not able to make the 12 year commitment...our sweet, old gal, Snoopy may be the girl for you! Snoopy is a sweet senior dog with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines brightly, despite the challenges she's faced. Snoopy was recently returned to the shelter due to reportedly high anxiety. Indeed, she was very stressed upon arrival, however, after only a few short minutes was already far more relaxed and completely calm(she saws some serious logs y'all!)! From that point, she has only improved and spends her days lounging around our front office. She happily greets guests in between naps and gently playing with her toys. Snoop has really impressed us with how rapidly she has taken on a calm, peaceful demeanor while being in the shelter environment. In the shelter, Snoopy has been able to walk near other dogs without concern, however, it is reported that she prefers to be the only pet. This gentle girl is eager to find a home where she can enjoy a peaceful, stable environment. Snoopy enjoys playful moments but is happiest when she's close to her people, cherishing the simple pleasure of being near them. If you have a calm home and a big heart, Snoopy could be the perfect companion to share your days with. Come meet Snoopy and let her fill your life with her gentle, loving presence. HOBBIES: Sawing logs and slaying Dragons

Story
Meet Honey – the sweetest pup with an adorable reindeer nose and bunny-like ears! Her soft, snuggly fur is perfect for cuddles, and naptime is one of her favorite activities (especially after some playtime outdoors). Honey loves to zoom through the dog door, always ready for fun and adventure in the yard. She’s got plenty of puppy energy and is full of curiosity! Honey is learning her manners when it comes to countertops and discovering what is and isn’t a toy. With consistent guidance, she’ll continue to grow into a well-mannered pup. Honey is a social butterfly and gets along great with other dogs, so she’d love a playmate in her new home. Her peanut butter Kong is her go-to treat, and she happily goes into her crate to wait for it. Honey can get excited at mealtime, so using a slow feeder or a tennis ball in her bowl will help her pace herself. Honey is looking for a home filled with love, patience, and playtime. If you’re ready for a loyal, cuddly companion with a playful spirit, Honey might just be the perfect fit for you!

Story
My name is Cocoa, named by a neighbor child on my first day at Foster Camp. I love my foster parents—they've taken me to doggy training classes (didn't need them), introduced me to many children, adult-like children, dogs, cats, and even deer (why deer?). Ok, I’m social, cute (look at my cow eyes), know commands, and sleep all night in my condo-like crate. I do my duty outside or on a thingy they call a pee pad. My day consists of breakfast (repeat, please), playing with my toys and foster dog sis in the house or outside with no barking—yes, I have a voice but use it sparingly for exciting things only. Oh yeah, after a yawn, I give a sweet hum. Really, why am I not adopted yet? I’m low-maintenance, except when I find a sock the humans forgot to pick up. My cuddles are real but not overwhelming. I love all humans, animals, car rides, and chew treats. Meet me and fall in love!

Story
Kriss Kross is a remarkable lab rescue mix who found his way to Friends of Dogs in July 2023. When he was found as a stray, he was in dire need of care. He had a thin scar around his neck from being tied up, a sore back ankle, and infected ears. Additionally, his eyes are slightly crossed, possibly due to past trauma. Friends of Dogs rescued Kriss Kross not out of pity, but because of his sweet and happy disposition. He has a kind heart, and it was clear to the rescuers that he deserved a chance at a good life. His foster mom took Kriss Kross to the vet for a thorough assessment. He is approximately three years old, weighs 43 pounds, and is heartworm negative. The vet suspects that Kriss Kross may have experienced head trauma, affecting his brain and causing his eyes to cross. His sore ankle is likely the result of a previous injury, which may have caused it to grow incorrectly. Despite this, he doesn't appear to be in pain and has a distinctive, endearing hop when he walks. Kriss Kross has been thriving in a safe and nurturing environment, something he has never experienced before. He has been neutered and is now ready for the next step in his journey. Kriss Kross needs a special home where he can continue to receive the love and care he deserves. Kriss Kross's greatest joy is to be with people. He longs for human connection and eagerly soaks up pets and cuddles. While he is friendly and polite with other dogs, he always prefers to be close to his people. Due to his past trauma, he can be a little anxious and needy, but he has so much love to offer in return. Meet Finn – A 65-Pound Bundle of Love and Devotion! Finn is a stunning black Lab/Collie mix who is ready to find his forever home. At 65 pounds, Finn is the perfect size for cuddles and adventures, and his gentle, friendly nature makes him a wonderful addition to any family. This sweet boy is fantastic with kids and other dogs, making him an ideal family companion. With the heart of a loyal Lab and the intelligence of a Collie, Finn has a personality as beautiful as his glossy black coat. Whether it’s playing fetch, lounging in the yard, or enjoying a walk through the neighborhood, Finn is happiest when he’s spending time with his loved ones. Finn is crate trained and potty trained, so he’s already a pro at fitting into a home environment. He loves being outdoors and is great in a yard, but more than anything, he simply wants to be by your side. Finn’s adaptable nature and eagerness to learn make him the perfect match for someone seeking a loyal and loving best friend. Because of Finn's zest for life, a home with toddlers is not recommended due to his size. He may knock them down. By adopting Finn, you’ll gain a devoted companion who will reward your kindness with endless affection and gratitude. Finn is ready to start his new chapter and dreams of finding a family who will provide him with the love and stability he deserves. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Meet Bruno, a resilient and happy 10-month-old black Lab mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life. Bruno came into our local animal control with an injured leg, body full of BB pellets, and significant hair loss, but he’s made an incredible transformation. After his leg amputation and a lot of TLC, his coat has grown back beautifully, and he’s embraced life as a tripod with the sweetest spirit. Bruno is the ultimate companion. He loves playtime, whether it’s fetching, romping with other dogs (he gets along with everyone he meets), or guarding his favorite toys. When it’s time to relax, Bruno is perfectly content being a couch potato, whether on the couch with you or snuggled up in his own bed. He’s housebroken, sleeps well in his kennel, and is learning to walk on a leash like a pro. While he’s still building endurance on walks as he adjusts to being a tripod, his determination and quick learning are impressive. Bruno is initially cautious around new people but warms up quickly with a little patience and kindness. Bruno is ready to bring his joyful energy and unwavering loyalty to his forever home. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and resilient pup to join your family, Bruno is the one for you!
